Hello from Canada. Thank you for posting this video. 100% makes sense as it aligns with your WHY. When I run the numbers Dubai is expensive specially the Rents and Education. Yes there is no personal income taxes but there is no freebies as well. You are essentially paying as if you were a tourist living there. Yes it depends on your lifestyle and you can live in suburbs or Sharjah and pay much less in rents but that’s a total different game.
Yes, the increase in rent does eat into your extra disposable income. For me it was still a good move to do Dubai - will also move back when i have a zero more to my income. Until then, figured i would get there more quickly by living in a place like Romania
Better! It’s around 27-30 degrees right now and half the amount of rain days compared to Denmark. Taxes are good for expats. 1-3% corporate tax and 8% on dividends (which you’d just use instead of salary)
Hi, I grew up in Marbella, and even though I left Marbella when I was twenty years old, I made the mistake of coming back for family matters, so now I'm ready to move again and leave Marbella forever, I've had enough of the crazy taxes in exchange for nothing, so Im looking for a country to move with my family. My question is, how much more expensive is Dubai compared to Marbella? I would also appreciate your thoughts comparing Marbella with Dubai. I’m keeping my tax residency in Dubai, so essentially getting the best of both worlds :) Managed to rent a 4 bedroom house that i’m going to live with my brother in that’s 1/4 my current rent in Dubai. So opportunity was too good to say no

Big moves! I’m guessing what is happening is you will get the best of both worlds by sending your income to your Dubai company, save on taxes, but live somewhere cheaper. That’s a pro structure, I was planning on building something like that
@@rasmusgutfelt Thats exactly the perfect structure. I was planning on winter in dubai, summer in Canada, and rest of the time somewhere else. One small but huge problem is that I am an oil portrait painter, not a laptop guy, so its going to be very difficult haha. Jealous of your online job.
Yeah i can see how that would add certain boundaries haha. Maybe 6-8 months away from a project is good to “reflect” on the art you’re creating and then you can come back to Dubai and finish it 😂 Think that’d make for great social media content haha

Rasmus, I admire you. One thing I want to know is how you integrate your social life into your lifestyle? How often do you hang out with friends. How often do you go out on dates with potential partners? Are you even interested in this stuff or nah for now?
Great question! I practically never go on dates, it's not something i'm interested in atm. I see friends from time to time, mostly in the gym or on the weekends
I don't, as long as i stay in Dubai for 90 days of the year. But the taxes in Romania are quite good as well if you have a business there. 1% corporate tax and 8% on dividends!
@@rasmusgutfelt And 10% of the Dividends to the Health Insurence, but this has a cap. (Its like in Cyprus with the NHR) The 1% is when you eploy someone, and your annual Tunrover (Revenue not Earnings) is less than 500k. If you getting to good than it is 16%
@@rasmusgutfelt As long you still have a Manageing Director and Substance for your Company in Dubai, everything will be fine. In other words, if you remain the managing director of your Dubai Company and go to Romania, live there and make the decisions for your company, you will have to pay 16% profit tax in Romania with your Dubai Company. (Google: Place of effective Management) In order for the Dubai company not to be taxed like a normal Romanian company, it needs a manager who makes the decisions and substance (office) in the UAE. how are you saving the tax benefits? and dont you have to live there for 3 months? and if so how do you pay rent for only 3 months and not pay for a whole year?
I would suggest you come to Cluj instead of Bucharest you have a lot of nature here and pretty good flight connections. Especially if you are spending all life in front of a stupid computer :) obviously what you are saying that human relationships become more valuable than money i understand you perfectly:(
