Great VR Dom! I agree with you on registration, for me, that is usually #1. Also think it is great that you mentioned managing your hobby budget as an obsession, I believe it is important for collectors to identify their budget thresholds, it also makes the hunt that much more fun and satisfying!
Thanks Steve registration is so important since we’re typically collecting pictures! Budgeting is super important as well bc i don’t blow my budget on these firewall breaking cards I’m able to hunt for a wider variety of things at all different price points which makes the hunt tons of rewarding fun!

Hi Dom, it’s great you put restrictions on your card purchases both registration and cost. I cross the registration line a lot with older cards for cost reasons.
Appreciate that my friend! It’s good to have some sort of focus but there’s just so much i enjoy and still want in this hobby that I gotta strategize to cast the biggest net possible.

Thanks for sharing some of your obsessions. I understand your focus on the $500 threshold. Especially for some reason it is a current player, you never know how a player's rise can derail for any unfortunate reason. Along the vintage front, I think I'd rather have a more diverse collection, my money spread out to get multiple players I don't currently have than to go all in on one card. I've done it before don't get me wrong but it's something I've managed over the years. Have a great week Dom!
Thanks Sammy we’re definitely cut from the same cloth. The firewall not only stops me from over extending myself, opening myself up for significant risk, but also allows me to diversify as much possible within my budget. Some people want low quantity, high quality collections but for me I still want quality but in as high of a quantity as I can afford!
