Anyone else appreciate how refreshing this editing style is compared to modern Minecraft hardcore videos? Finally someone who doesn't use the same generic formula.

as far as i'm aware, the only way to prevent the pillagers from spawning on your island is to spawn-proof all the grass/sand blocks, since they can only spawn on those
I love diorite and birch. Haters can shove it where the sun don't shine! In 1.21 you don't have to worry about pillagers starting raids when you slay the captain anymore. Instead of getting the affect from slaying the captain you have to drink the bottle. For better or worse this has broken raid farms though I am sure the technical community will find a work around. Also you should look up an allay and silverfish XP farm. It is the next big thing in the community and now the fastest way to get XP in 1.21! Also now in 1.21, you can put lead ropes on boats and I would recommend that you use a chest boat to prevent multiple riders in one boat. But you can transport up to 8 mobs at a time now or even 16 if you use normal boats instead of chest boats. You can also transport boats up blocks instead of just down them. And another trick if they won't go up the block is to use a piston to push them up. It's much faster than mine carts especially in the early game.
I used a graphic tablet for a lot of things, I personally love krita but just found out that the new pureref update allows for drawing, so great place to keep my designs and draft ideas in an infinite canvas!
I love this style of hardcore where you just build instead of focusing on getting stuff immediately, I can’t do this style for some reason but I respect the patience for using iron tools for so long

Pillagers need light level 8 and below to spawn, outside of torch spamming, recommend path blocks, slabs, etc to make low light level blocks non-spawnable

Another fun decorative trick for a wooden palisade wall that prevents spawns and looks cool is pointed dripstone. Place the dripstone atop the log columns to make them spawn-proofed and look sharpened.
Excellent video as always! Just a tip, so you probably know it but maybe someone else on here doesn't, I find that leaving a trail of carrots or bread is more effective than using workstation. And they'll already have food in there inventory for breeding too. Might check it out
i like the way you give commentary and the video is great because of the mods too, finally i fully like a hardcore youtuber, heck even the building and boring parts are super fun because of your commentary. im usually lazy to comment stuff like this for youtubers but you stand out brother
I have watched almost the entire thing and have been enjoying it, but I realized you say 'OK?' in every single sentence. I hear it every 5 seconds, and I can't take it anymore.
That and every other word is a curse word. I have no problem with any words people want to use, but like with the 'OK', it's just so much that it's too irritating.
IDK if it will work but at least according to the Wiki, to stop Pillager Patrols from spawning within your island's land is to spawn proof every block. Natural light doesn't stop Pillager Patrols from spawning but perhaps torches and lanterns will? Slabs, Carpets and Moss Carpets will help. Also since you've built a village on your island then as long as you're near/in the village, Pillager Patrols will not spawn.
2:03 You have no right to insult these random people, who let you take any haybale, workstation, or anything found in their chests, on the state of their village. I bet you wouldn't have the gall to refer to it in such low quality if these were Australians like you.
New subscriber here to let you know that I'm loving your island so far! Fun fact, I just learned that in 1.12, you the player, can activate a Raid by drinking the potion instead of starting it automatically after killing the Captain.
