It looks great, I have it wishlisted. But ehhh... it'd be nice if you did add some accessibility options for the text. My eyes aren't that good anymore. ^^;;
when i play the game, I better have my own home where i can collect all the pets I purchase too XD. it'd be cool if a few pets changed colours based on the performance of the minigame/challenge sequence.
@mikeuk666 you may be able to colorshift your screen, this would also change the color pallet. However accessibility should be thought of. Can't wait to see this.

This game looks GORGEOUS Brandon! I've always loved how you used limited color pallets in your art, but having that translated to an entire game is something truly special. There are many modern retro inspired pixel art games out there nowadays, but I feel like they tend to gravitate to using too many colors which makes the different art assets feel disjointed from one another. Even though your color pallet is so limited, the way you use those colors makes it feel like there are dozens of colors on screen (especially since you included those two accent colors), while also making everything feel so cohesive and purposeful. And the actual game and story look to be incredibly charming of course. I am absolutely playing this game when it releases, and buying a physical switch copy if it comes out on that.

Riding the motorcycle looks so smooth, im so impressed & just for that alone imagine that the gameplay feels super satisfying. the pet minigames look incredibly charming too

awesome news! Been a big fan of your pixel art videos. When I first saw the bike animation I immidiately went back and paused each frame having noticed the fluiditiy of the movement in between, especially front wheel! So cool to then see you mention and show the 16 sprites !

This game looks very polished. It would be nice to see more of the mechanics and how you interact with the game world. It's so rare to see an indie game devlog that isn't a "cozy" game. I can definitely see all of your creative influences. I'll be adding this to my wishlist.

I really like the way it looks when you do that "broken perspective" at the top of the map, where you can't go any further, and you can see the horizon. I have tried but it just doesn't work as well in true isometric

I just noticed that your Cyberpunk Apothecary uses a very similar color scheme, AND has a major flower motif, AND has a cyberpunk aesthetic... Coincidence? This looks fantastic, though. Really excited to give it a shot when it releases

I was watching during Summer Game Fest and said Wow that looks a lot like Brandon Greer's art! But he doesn't make games...IT IS BRANDON GREER'S ART!! lol That was a really fun reveal and I'm glad to see you working on a game.
This premise wouldn't work as a cartoon even though it already looks super cute as one just watching one kid visit people and pamper their virtual pet until it's ready to come out of the device isn't a show. That makes me wonder how fun this would actually be to play. Maybe, like you'd expect from a cartoon, something could occasionally go wrong leading to aditional gameplay. Mabe the device breaks or the pet comes out cranky and scares it's owner nothing super bad because you're trying to keep the game chill and relaxing which I thank your for but now the houses have a random chance at some exciting extra gameplay.

Now i know why i shouldnt have skipped the indie game part in SGF, this game looks so fun its exactly my type i started doing pixel art and watched ur channel only like 2 days ago, and making a game like this is my u could say goal. this type of games would be dead by the time i get good but who cares lol
