Who doesn’t love a good goalie celly? We’ve seen some great ones from the classic dive and slide, Rittichs stick flip, Carey Price against the pens and Marc-Andre Fleury answering back, the Elvis classic and more recently, the bruins goalie pair with the awesome I don't see you, whats the big deal ahh come here with the big bear hugs which they’ve been doing for a little while now but what happened last night, in the game between the Milwaukee Admirals vs the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL, I have never seen! Yaroslav Askarov took the net and bench pressed it to celebrate his 45 saves after winning the shootout in hilarious fashion. I cover it and more in todays Hockey highlights recap!

As someone who lives in Milwaukee and attends Admiral's games all the time I love it. Askarov is a joy to watch. Also he is a super nice guy in person. Got to meet him twice after the game.

It def wont come to the NHL, We already had that era of "Cellies" and if i remember right stuff like this got an "Unsportsmen like conduct" while in a period, or a fine from the league itself. I think when ovi did his "Burning stick" celly, the league was divided, one half on the "Yeah he scored, let him do it" and the other side was more "Its not professional, you have to respect the game, and its competitors" Don Cherry did a whole rant about it on CBC Hockey night in Canada

Really excited to see Askarov in these next couple of years. In my opinion he’s a more attractive goaltending prospect than Wallstedt. He’s got a good amount of personality as well.

I'm still pissed that every player has to get a participation high five at the bench after a goal. In my day you sat on the bench and made them come to you for a pat on the head of shoulder.
