Ehh. I think people think their performance varies more than it probably does. You're probably doing the same thingswhen you think you want to be passive or confident. Same habits, same skills, same predefined decisions, same game understanding.

@@palmberry5576 If youre deliberately not playing while thinking about losing. That will affect your performance. If you're actively playing, I reckon you're probably making the same plays and decisions you always do. It's hard to override and slowly change a single habit during a game even when you're focusing on just that habit exclusively. No way you can easily just change your playing by 'being confident' or not confident. You can control how much effort you put in or your concentration. But trying to 'act confident' also takes your mind, your concentration away from the game. Plats always play like plats. The opponents they face present different challenges each time. Concentration varies. How often and for how long we're not paying attention to or not considering or caring about what's happening in the game. When your concentration is gone, you might drive in a straight line without realizing the need to change direction longer or realize later it's a bad time to go up for an aerial. Again. Pretending to be confident isn't going to give you concentration though.
