It'd be fascinating to figure out how to model the person like a digital mannequin and then print sections like a sewing pattern. It looks like you're using darts to add contours, and I wonder if you could print those sections either as just incomplete squares or even ones that were distorted? Easier to sew them once the print was done? So interesting.
how did you adjust the z height after adding the mesh on top of the first print? did you use custom gcode or is the mesh thin enough to continue printing without adjusting the next layer z? I’m thinking about doing something similar to this.
Great question. I don’t adjust the z height. The fabric is super thin and you want it to get sandwiched between the layers and not have the top pieces loose after your remove the print. Hope this helps 😉👍
