video follows ca-163 in downtown san diego to i-5 north . to i-8 eastbound through san diego and the metropolitan area . video covers mile 3-22 eastbound
Great drive makes me homesick. I used to live in El Cajon and would make this drive 4 nights a week to Nursing school on Balboa Ave. It's one of my favorite freeway in San Diego.
@KEKInc -That's an unfair comment IMO, I use effects too, why stifle someone's creativity? I like what he did with the effects, they work with the type of music that was used. It may not be perfect for you, but hey, you can't please everyone, right? And yes the effects may attract new people who appreciate the mix of music and scenery with a touch of vibrance, there are more people out there who watch these videos for reasons other than roads.
Allen the very best state that I have ever lived & worked in is in California in the Civilized San Diego area which has been home to me since 8/22/1974. I used to work at what was NAS Miramar before I ended up in the damned Backward,1870's,Barbarian,Sh@thole,Loser City Tucson Metropolitian area which is the very worst place that I have ever lived & worked in, but those base closures forced me to Tucson. I do get hoe, to the Civilized San Diego area for 4 day visits and I don't leave the San Diego area till 6:00 PM Monday night.
Have you been in town since then? They've done a lot of work on the freeways recently. Diamond grinding, repaving ramps, etc. It's much smoother. Unfortunately, they haven't gotten around to the 8 yet.
San Diego is my hometown (where I grew up for my first almost 15 years), yet I live in Arkansas now since 1999. Being a travel enthusiast, Interstate 8 is my all-time favorite interstate because of the four vastly different climates that one would travel in just under five hours (the beautiful California portion in almost 2.5 hours)! Interstate 70 in Utah and Colorado, and Interstate 15 does not even come close to this.
This is my home town. Thank you so much for a magnificent vision of our very special place and excellent highway 8. Superb editing and graphics. You just gained a new subscriber.
Excellent video! I'm trying to eventually move out there away from crummy NYC. Our roads are atrocious. The roads on these vids are awesome! Keep up the good work. Subscribed.
@ScrewdUPClickV2 Awesome. I live in Seattle now, and I've lived in both the Portland Metro Area and South Bay Area for the last 6 years (I grew up in the South Bay Area, though). Frankly, I like the road quality and hardware better up in Washington state, but the road design and interchanges are better in California. Texas seems to have awesome flyovers, though.
This is a strange question to ask, considering I live in San Diego, but have you, by any chance, recorded a trip from downtown, headed north on the 163 towards the 15?
Great video as always. BTW, what do you use to design the green signs you display at the exits? I'd like to do something similar for my videos. Kudos again and thanks in advance for your response.
On Thursday, October 5th. I'm heading home to the Civilized San Diego area fro the Discovery Day weekend and I wished I would have won the recent Powerball jackpot, because if I did I would be buying a home back there in he Civilized San Diego area and would be back in the Civilized San Diego area by Thanksgiving and it would be good riddance to the damned Ugly,Backward,1870's,Barbarian,Sh@thole,Loser City Tucson Metropolitian area which is the very worst Metropolitian area that I have ever lived & worked in, the Civilized San Diego area is the very best Metropolitian area that I have lived & worked in in my entire life.
ScrewdUP this is another best video from you.It seems as if you make only the best videos not less than that lol. This one is filled with everything, there are palms, trees, cars, trolleys, useful pop ups, informations about everything one who is not a resident eventualy would have to know when get there. You have a quality to put yourself in a perspective of a man who is not a resident and seek for as much infos as he can get in a foreign city.Someone like me for instance. That's a quality definitely.
This was an amazing ride Do you use a special software program to post the freeway signs along or throughout your videos? Thanks for sharing this video.
@ScrewdUPClickV2 Um, inverted effects are more annoying than anything else. I don't really see how they attract a new audience. There's already a specific target audience here (roadfans), and I'm not aware of a tacky color-change audience. :P Nice video nonetheless.
