While I-95 northbound has reopened, it will be at least 24 hours before southbound traffic follows. For people who live nearby, it's been a frustrating experience.

I live right by the exit where this happened in Norwalk. I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often actually. People are too impatient to sit in traffic so they use the off-ramps to now go around cars in the right lane and get back on the highway at the last second which always causes near-accidents.

So the Camero hit the front of the stardard fuel truck and than came to rest in front of another tractor trailer. Seems odd that the tanker would leak fuel.

What is the “something new” about the driver that caused the crash? It was determined days ago it was a merging accident. Yes, tearing something apart is easier than putting it together, but they removed that bridge in record time. That means if construction crews ramp up the work ethic, motorists won’t be plagued by the March to December 1/4 mile road construction projects.

Its the right direction. Can see the route 7 exit. Was smart to get the north bound side open first. Especially if the pavement is damaged south bound and needs to be repaved.

Put traffic enforcement out there again. The fools will slow down when cops are around. If it wasn't a medical mishap, then it was caused by another careless driver who doesn't care about anyone but himself. The same thing goes on in NYS. It goes to show that those dangerous people on the roads don't value their life. They sure don't care about anyone else either. Just another lawless State like NY.👎🏿

Its a very tough area for a patrol. Ever worse at the beginning of rush hour.
