I’m taking my son to Disney World In Feb. 2022. I hate that I 95 I 10 interchange. In my opinion it’s too short and too many aggressive drivers. I’m dreading it. Thanks for posting this before so I can study 🤪
Nice ride man! Always interesting to see Florida highways. I always liked seeing FLA's roads because of the unique enviornment the area has. It was cool to see the eastern terminus of I-10! Cool to see both ends finally! Nice ride, great vids and enjoying your FLA trip!!!!
Michael Absolutely! Not just Jacksonville but many cities’ downtown areas have major info overload when passing through them...5, 6, sometimes more exits back to back one right after the other, they throw bypasses at you, junctions with other interstates passing through on top of it...it’s a LOT to process and keep track of! I can usually manage it but the thing that makes even my head spin is when there’s 4 overhead exit signs lined up next to each other! It gets a bit overwhelming at that point. Outside the major downtown areas and even in the smaller sized cities it’s much easier to keep up, there’s not massive info overload in those areas.
I used the song Gel by Collective Soul in one of my videos on I-16 East and Silvergun Superman in my video on I-95 North from Pooler, GA to Hardeeville, SC
Nice rock radio music Scott and if you were going towards Miami on I-95 south then the accompanying music would be Wasting all these tears by Cassadee Pope in the West Palm Beach area then Ariana Grande for the Boca Raton area and lastly Pitbull for the I-95 South Miami segment. These were based from me listening on 96.1 WCTO & 104.1 WAEB-FM Allentown, PA
Actually the two songs used in the video were off of my computer's music files; the WAPE sound ramps were copied from a RU-vid posting by Ellis Feaster. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching.
socarboy That was REALLY cool! Almost all the guys who do make these kinds of videos just throw random music in them but you actually showed everyone a ramp from one of Jacksonville’s actual radio stations! It makes it more personal and shows what stations there the locals know day in and out. Luckily that specific station hasn’t caught wind of this, hopefully they won’t. I know a lot of stations used in any video, if there’s any ramps or specific ID’s they will try to get a copyright strike. Also kudos for getting ALL the signs in...the distance signs, the brown attraction/points of interest signs...Jesus. Just kudos. I’m hoping to get a bigger project like this going hopefully next year, I’ll try to fit all the signage in too, we’ll see!
Stockton Street is the first exit on I-10 westbound. I-10 continues about 60 miles west of Jacksonville to its junction with I-75 near the town of Lake City. I had a similar misreading experience many years ago when my wife and I lived in Miami and often drove to visit her parents in Jacksonville. In northern Broward County an exit from I-95 northbound was (maybe still is) labeled, in two lines, “Topekeegee / Yugnee Park.” For a long time I thought the exit was to two adjacent (or maybe in opposite directions after exiting; this is common) towns named Topekeegee and Yugnee Park. Only after a group we belonged to organized an event in “T-Y Park” did I realize that the exit led to a state park with picnic tables, named “Topekeegee-Yugnee Park!”
Actually it's getting it now, I working on a series from the Jacksonville area now here's a fresh one released today; thanks for watching ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8hUzXzwa7sA.html
+alex alexis Thank you if you check out my channel socarboy there are numerous road videos of the mainly The Carolinas and Georgia in the Southeast USA. Thanks for watching
Jacksonville is actually the largest city in the USA by land area, as its city limits are the same with Duval County. It is a spread out area with numerous attractions...I'm at a loss to think why you see it as a joke.
Jacksonville is a "joke" because it isn't a real city unless you count cows in the video above! It's almost twice the size of NYC with 1/10th. of the population.
xoxxobob Beleive it or not it is Florida's largest city I surprised myself when I found that out. However it's not Florida's largest metro area that goes to Miami Fort Lauderdale.
Anthony Bryant Jax is unique that its city limits and Duval County are one in the same. The economy seems to be improving in Florida, as it does, Jax will continue to grow. Thanks for watching.
