This is a neat and efficient design. I'm not from the area, but I hope to see some improvements such as this to the 23 and Washtenaw Ave interchange, it is such a madhouse during rush hour.
I find this new exchange extremely confusing. By the grace of God, I avoided a serious accident today when exiting I 96 onto Cascade Road using exit 40. In very heavy traffic it is very difficult to exit onto the proper lane so that you can proceed to your destination. I will probably avoid this exit in the future.
Locals do find it confusing! Most now avoid this area like the plague! In snow, you can't see the markings on the road, so you don't know what lane your in! Giving MDot way to much credit here!
UltimateStagingDecor It’s of no fault of the people who planned and built this interchange that the weather covers the markings. It’s up to the city to ensure the proper road clearance during winter weather. If you can see the lane markings, it’s really quite simple.
