Though Dark World was forgettable, it feels oddly refreshing seeing things be both serious, and yet slightly funny. Compared to every thing now in the MCU which is just jokes upon jokes.
It’s crazy to me how Thor has the second best actor in the mcu (hemsworth), the extremely talented Natalie Portman, and arguably the best film in the MCU (Thor Ragnarok). And it also has two of the worst films in the mcu (dark world and love and thunder)
@@mr.doctorcaptain1124 there are so many way worse films in the MCU. Dark World is just bland and forgettable. it can't even be considered one of the worst anymore
@@blue-vr8dd sure but these Marvel fans act like bad Marvel movies is something new in this new phase after end game while most marvel movies are average at best. They fun movies but not that good like people claim to be.
Hes still very stong even stronger they just made a joke out of the last movie and that sucks becuase he was just starting to get even more powerful to unlock more powers then they pretty much took a backstep. I think its becuase if they let him unlock his full potential, like in the comics, he would be to powerful.
I agree with you. But I think is part of character development. The trio end up becoming kinda the opposite compared to the beginning. Take iron man as an example. He gave his life to save others, although in the beginning he was such a egocentric person. Cap in the other way, decided to take a moment for himself and be with Carter, while in the begging of his career he joined the army to serve his country. Thor was a strong mainly man. Now he's a deconstructed man lol
@@Ethanmonds4132But they have absolutely no problem doing exactly that with Captain Marvel, yet Thor is somewhat of a joke except in Ragnarok and Infinity War.
What?? There weren't even fart sounds! Thor didn't scream like a little girl! The audience wasn't made fun of for enjoying an epic battle! Get Taika in here to fix this!!
@@leecameron9226This movie was bad, yes. This scene in particular was enjoyed by many, as even bad films can have enjoyable moments. While most agree Thor 2 was awful, and the quality of Thor 1 is disputed, many also agree that Thor in Thor 1 and 2 and Thor in Thor 3 and 4 are completely different people and many miss the old one.
Honestly, I think that Dark World was peak Thor. This movie really drove home the sense of godhood and Norse mythology that should have remained throughout the MCU.
I never understood the hate this movie received, I fucking loved it from day one. So many quotable lines from it too. In retrospect, I think this kind of tone is exactly what Marvel should have lead with from that point forward.
This is the type of movie they should be making. Thor and his old companions going on adventures through worlds that look like medieval Europe. Hell, I’d LOVE to see a dark and grim Thor movie that takes place during the Viking age.
@@HandlehosylerI think the comment means scenes like this rather than the entire movie. Also no, it's not the worst Thor movie, Love and Thunder exists.
@@HandlehosylerNo it's objectively the only good Thor movie. It's the only one with character development and where Thor wasn't just a strong inbecile but nuanced.
I hate being a grammar nazi, because I can be lax with some things as well….. but goddamn when to use you’re and your is so basic any kid above the age of 12 should be able tell you that the title is wrong. Just because “you’re” and “your” sound the same doesn’t make them the same word. I don’t understand why people can’t remember “you’re” is a shortening of “you are”. If the sentence sounds fucking stupid using “you are” instead of “you’re” then you should probably muster up all your brain power and change it to “your”. Honestly I just really hope who ever posted this speaks English as a second language. Otherwise, whoever posted might as well have “I am a dumbass, and I probably don’t read much if at all” tattooed on their forehead. Because frankly that is exactly how the vast majority of even somewhat educated people will view you when you make such an obvious mistake.

@@treytonpoling1356 Exactly!!!!! Casual texting with a close friend it can easily happen. However, posting a clip online for thousands of people to see? lol I would drop dead before I would let that happen.

Ya i think the same thing i didnt mind thor ragnorok becuase it shower him unlock his true power and there was just so many big things that happend in that movie to rederct the storyline like him losing his hammer finding out about his sister odin dying asgard destroyed. But it was also almost all jokes. i think thor, being a god of thunder, should be a bit more serious.
I'm honestly so glad this wasn't Korg. Although a lot different from his comic counterpart, we needed him. But Love and Thunder still should've been serious.
Anikan: My man Thor Thor: Thank you Anakin: At least this way we can take out their leader and we win Thor: Totally agree Obi Wan: Oh great now there’s two of them
@@RealFrinata yeah but to be able to survive 1.8 million degrees F, your skin would not be normal skin. Even think back to the first avengers. He was smashed through big trees and slammed and dragged against the side of a rock cliff with not a scratch.
@@frankhauptle2744 If what you are implying is true, that the arrow wouldn't have hurt him, then Sif wouldn't have blocked it, as it would be far more humerous, story wise, to have the arrow simply bounce off of Thor. They've already done this effectively in a recent movie (I won't spoil), so we know that in universe, it makes sense for some weapons to simply bounce. Look at how deep the arrow goes into Sif's shield. Arrows are designed to penetrate skin, and sometimes, armour. Knights of old wore armour, but still had chainmail under their armour, because the armour itself did nothing against the arrow. Thor has been stabbed several times, before this movie, and during this movie. He's not invulnerable to 'lesser attacks'.
Sif is gorgeous, great in a battle, a lifesaver and funny! I can see why Thor married her in the Sagas. Forget plain Jane. That was also the fastest way to disarm enemies' make them disarm themselves out of abject fear of death.
I never realized it but that’s a nod to when Thor loses his hammer in the myths. Both involve him crushing the skull of a rock giant infront of his comrads
crazy how the movies we used to sleep on are getting praise because we didn't appreciate them for what they are(talking about movies like dark world and incredible hulk)
Asgaurd playing the American role in the MCU and conquering the whole world to achieve world peace (don't mind the millions of innocents perishing in the process)
