I'm not sure how this is supposed to work, but I accepted a gig to renovate my own house with me as a client... ➤ Visit my website for my Twitter, Twitch, other channels and more! My Website: jamesturner.yt
@@limiv5272 yea my legacy family is loaded, all of the members easily work their way up even if they've just moved out on their own. Especially since they grow up with benefits from the previous generations like mentoring and character values for example.
My dog can be peacefully sleeping elsewhere, yet the minute she hears I open the bathroom door, she gets up and waits to get in and keep sleeping over the bath mat. Yes. The mat is not for me, it's for my dog to sleep in 😂
I don’t even have Bust The Dust, but I noticed that when I had a sim trying to level up his singing skill, he stopped every sim minute or so to whiff the incense I was burning to increase his skill gain. They used to just sing and sing and sing and never interrupt. So there is something deeply wrong with how much sims want to smell things now.
Hey James! I discovered this while building the other day. If you act like you're going to paint the wall under the stairs when the wall is already gone, the wallpaper tool will bring it back! Super handy for getting that wall back!
I knew it was gonna be a crazy episode the second Hazel’s own house came up as a gig!! I just knew it!!! It’s fun to throw a crazy one up in through all the amazing episodes. Thanks Semaj!!!!!
Dear James Turner, I just wanted you to know that watching your videos has become a highlight of my day. I will be having surgery soon which has me a bit depressed, but your videos always brighten my mood. Thank you!
Hi. If you delete the wall under the stairs you can add it back by putting wallpaper under the stairs. (On where you’d have the wall) I hope that this helps.
16:50 SAME i have 2 toddlers and twin babies and when all of the children cry the dad decides to stop walking over to the cribs to take care of them and instead walked all the way outside and back inside to smell the air both times. ridiculous.
If it makes you feel any better, the "Rick's Farm" arcade renovation was another commercial lot, so it would have been the same situation. The commercial venues have random sims "own" the place and be the client.
Bruh I had to renovate that one lot in strangerville with the plane crash, and it was a first level renovation. I legit had the top tiny room to renovate🤦🏻♀️
Hazel lore vacillating between "tax fraud" and "psychotic break" for me - until James bought the carefree perk and finally made Hazel and Hagrid companions. She definitely had a mental episode, for which she is now being medicated and pursuing other forms of therapy as well. Here's our new possible cottage living tie-in; just retire her to the farm, easy peasy, done and dusted
I really wish they'd fixed some of the DD bugs (the ones that kinda make playing the actual career field you paid for) before they released the new pack, but what else is new with EA.
Maybe Hazel applied to be on a decorator reality thing and they paid for the renovation, not knowing she was accepted as a designer and she happened to get matched with herself. 🤷♂️
U should have take the arcade renovation and act like Hazel convinced Chaz to don’t make it and use the money in something more useful for the barn. And since Hazel go so into helping Chaz to renovate the house she ended up moving in and helping Chaz to get money to renovate it 😍😍
My head canon for this glitch is that Hazel got some kind of Decorator magazine sponsorship that is paying her to renovate her own space and showcase it. It still doesn’t make sense. 😂
Okay... that was very strange. Being your own client... an interesting concept that doesn't really work well. Renovating a bar that seems to have been acquired temporarily by witchcraft... well... another interesting concept. Hopefully the Chaz farm reno will be more normal... if this game even knows what that means anymore.
I know they had to build some kind of gameplay mechanics into this, but… I think most simmers were excited about the thought of renovating the bad Maxis houses as THEY saw fit, but unfortunately, we have to do what the GAME tells us to do, which is totally stupid things. Like add an arcade to a farm.
my sim accepted a gig to renovate her own house too, i accepted out of curiosity. her own husband and kids ended up being her clients. the kids loved it, the husband hated it. in unrelated events he later accidentally froze to death
This is the dumbest and funniest thing and James' frustration makes it even funnier * Hazel runs to street to call client back * * Hazel bikes back to the house as client * 😂😂
I might be wrong, but I think it bugged out because you got a referral but the sim it was for died? Either way, the bugs from the new patch are crazy... thanks EA 😂
Poor Hazel..she's like a parent. "Ill just do this then go to bed...*finds another job to go* ohh, ill do this too, won't take me long...*finds something else* right, after THIS I'm going to bed." 😂😂
@@jessieperson man, my dog must be broken. All he does is get sprayed by skunks... He got sprayed thrice in one day, I really thought maybe it's a bug or something, because the next day he got sprayed two more times... My dog is a fox, don't know if that makes any difference, but he doesn't even care when wild foxes come on my lot😂
The Sims Team: lets make a pack utilizing our tagging and camera system! Also the Sims Team: lets not fix or make any improvements to the camera or tagging system.
This is where we enter the hidden lore of someone else living in Hazels house without us knowing, and they’re trying to subtly say they want their bedroom to be better. ...or it was Hagrid.
@@jennw6809 I’ve heard about this happening, and I have a large house with guest rooms that I rarely go into, and I’m paranoid that I’m going to find someone living there one day.
@@LexTime89 If you do find someone, they desperately need some help: they're homeless. Also, clearly a quiet and tidy roommate if you didn't notice them.
The wholesome bowser moment made me smile so much and why is dream home decorator so glitchy I gotta wait for them to fix it in the next patch before I buy it I really like this series so much I can’t wait to see this incorporated with cottage living though
Bonus Bowser content!!! All the Cottage Living gameplay has really thrown a stark light on just how riddled with bugs Dream Home Decorator is. The entire career is broken to the point of being unplayable, the furniture items have problems with glitching into the inventory, the lighting on the swatches, and (worst of all) the fact you can't do any of the "...on couch" pet actions with the modular sofas. It honestly seems like they didn't play test it at all - I admire James's mettle for carrying on with it, I made it through one renovation before chucking the career and becoming a starving artist!
