I left my sims game unpaused for 5 minutes while i went to play with my cat ( I didn't realise the game was unpaused ) When I came back one of my sims was dead... he died of laughter...

That’s because the free will aspect in the sims 2 is kinda shitty, they really will just do fun things and not even feed themselves. Also the needs went down wayyyy easier
