@@Jmdaboii a reed is a piece of thin cane/wood that goes on the underside of the black mouthpiece that is held in with a metal holder (called a ligature) in order for the instrument to make a sound. Davie doesn't have either a reed or a ligature so it's very mind-blowing how he is able to play sax with very pretty tone without what is essential to make sound.

@@inmymind41 its a piece of thin wood in the mouthpiece that is what vibrates to make the sound a sax makes. Basically you blow into the mouthpiece the reed vibrates and it makes sound, its called a single reed because its one piece of wood there are double reeds too but those are for things like oboes and bassoons
