Was soooooooo excited when I saw your video pop up knew it meant Bun was having her babies. Nothing better than new life on a farm is what my grandparents used to tell me when I was a little girl. They had a huge beef cattle farm and pig's for several years too. To go out into the fields and see the very first baby born was always so exciting because Grandpa and I would be getting into the truck everyday several times a day looking for more new babies that were just born. We made sure Mom and baby or babies were doing ok from afar then head to the next one. Grandpa carried a book with number's of all his cow's then he would write how many babies she had. He had 2000-3000 cattle at a time so lot's of hard work during birthing time. Thanks for sharing your awesome great news you got to see when you got home from work 👍 😀.

Bottle fed they are sweeter and friendly. Mastitis is hard to fix unless you milk the other side.

I was just curious...I've seen so many people that, when their goats are finished kidding...they give them molasses in warm water. Do you do this too, Claire? Do you find it beneficial? It's much better if you stay out of the process. The babies sure don't need a wee wee pad to lay on. Pulling the baby out is not necessary.

Goats have been kidding on thrir own since the beginning of time!!! Why do you think you have to be there for every birth??? I think that's intrusive on your part!!! Just my opinion but we had goats for over 40 years & never interfered with the births!!!
