21:55 I'm loving this extra long episode, but I wanted to take a moment out of watching to point out how much I loved the little touch of adding a filter over Fooster's voice while Amanda is in the suit to mimic being on comms. That little bit of extra immersion was so cool. Whoever edited this got a chef's kiss out of me for that.

BEST SERIES EVER HANDS DOWN

If you want more Alien Isolation, I HIGHLY recommend the DLC. Crew Expendable and Last Survivor puts you in the first movie. Expendable lets you play Ellen, Dallas, or Parker while you hunt the first Xenomorph off of the Nostromo and Last Survivor puts you in the shoes of Ellen Ripley as she is setting the Nostromo into self destruction. The other DLC packs adds a gamemode call Survivor where it takes you through random areas on the ship as you complete different tasks in a certain amount of time. In Survivor, you can play as Amanda, Ransom, Axel, Hughs and many other characters. All are perfect for itching that Alien Isolation scratch! Furthermore, thanks for playing my favorite game ever, it's a BLAST to see people playing this game a DECADE after release, and the fact the gam still holds up is just amazing! It was tons of fun watching you play this game!!

I've found that when using the flamethrower, a prolonged blast or 2-3 quick blasts in rapid succession will drive the Alien away quicker, ultimately using less fuel. Also, if you blast it before it's seen you it'll usually run instantly. Finally, if you see it in the ceiling vent waiting for you, blast the opening and the Alien will scream and retreat further into the vents. Be warned that any interaction with the Alien, even if it retreats, may bring it right back after a short time. It may be better to leave it alone depending on the circumstances.

I love how fooster doesn’t do the over the top, irritatingly dramatic screams of a lot of other youtubers. He’s creeped out, and its a scary game, but he reacts pretty genuinely. Feels more like watching a friend play a scary game on your xbox then a RU-vid persona milking a scary game for content. Love your stuff dude! 10/10 comfort creator.

At 4:13:11 the alien used a niche animation/mechanic. If you stand between the Alien and it's way to escape then it will run through your flames, knock you down and escape. It really shows how well they made this game to have added that in and it adds to the suspense since you have no idea if it will kill you or if you'll stand back up. This was a great watch kinda sad it's over but really glad you played this game! Edit: Amanda Ripley lives until age 66 where she dies of cancer. The lights at the end is her rescue.

1:05:00 - the guy with the magazine shoved down his throat is a throwback to the first movie where Ash was trying to kill Ripley. 2:25:30 - the chains rattling in the background reminds me of when Brett went looking for Jonesy and got killed by the alien.

The Queen's roar is also heard randomly in the game. Like, I've never heard it in the Nest... but I heard it in Gemini Exoplanet Solutions once.

LOVE this series. probably the first youtuber I've watched play this that actually appreciates the game and notices whats happening story wise.

The ongoing trope in the Alien series is that artificial intelligence shouldn't be trusted, but there are exceptions. Samuels is like Bishop, some of them can be trusted. Isolation is a great game and it's great that you're covering it.

This was very entertaining to watch, thank you for uploading this series! In the future, if you ever decide to replay this (you probably won't lol, but just in case, even if off camera), here are some hopefully helpful tips: - By far your biggest hurdle is, ironically, yourself (I don't mean this in a rude way). Your overuse of distraction items, especially when the alien isn't even out of the vents, spawns it in and creates additional encounters and potential deaths or wastes of resources that you wouldn't have to deal with if you just kept going. - Having a surplus of crafting resources is tempting for new players to use items a lot, but this bites you in the butt not just because of the reason I stated above, but also because every time you use it, the alien gets more accustomed to these tools and tricks, and eventually will stop paying attention to them entirely (or worse, follow to the source). In almost all cases, distractions should be used only when you're already trapped or about to be found, rather than trying to lead the alien away from a place it isn't even in yet. - Same goes for flamethrower. I know people already mentioned it in the last video, but it really cannot be overstated that using the flamethrower should also be a last resort. Stealth is your best friend, except to my following tip: - When the alien is in the vents or otherwise not on the map, you can walk without issue. Obviously never run unless you are within feet of your goal and have an escape. Other humans and androids also won't hear your walk unless you're close. When the alien is on the ground, that's when you crouch. It gets you around quicker, which limits your interactions with enemies, which increases your survivability. - Speaking of the flamethrower, don't hold it out if the alien is close but hasn't spotted you yet. Like your flashlight, it can see the light the flamethrower gives off and could draw its attention to you, leading to further fuel waste. - Enemies only hear your motion tracker when in close proximity (anything under .30 - .35 on the number in the bottom left corner of the tracker is the danger zone, which shows the distance away from the nearest enemy or NPC). You can get away with a peek here and there up to about .15 - .20 but at that point its redundant, you already know where the enemy is. - Hiding while the alien is nearby is good. Hiding when its in the vents or its far away is not good, unless its in the way of where you need to go and there's no alternate route. And like other people commented before, avoid lockers and those little cubby boxes if at all possible, especially if you've hidden in them a lot in the past. They are death traps more often than lifesavers. - You can kill androids on the ground when their eyes are still lit with a gunshot to the head or a boltgun. Don't need to wait for them to grab you. - You have a short window of opportunity if the alien spots you and lets out a hiss, to get out of line of sight ASAP, and it shouldn't come at you. If it lets out a screech after the hiss, then it knows where you are and is about to charge. A good rule of them is if the alien is facing you and you can see the front of its head, it will see you, even if you're in a vent or under a desk. - Molotovs and pipe bombs work against the alien (for a time) if you're out of fuel.

If is says maxed out for the consumables, build more intruments, it will make room for more to be built. There is a max limit for the items however. It will show up as grey as you have seen, it will greatly stock up ones inventory. If you ever feel the need to play again, especially on Nightmare mode, which significantly decreases the amount of scrap/bonds etc available.

I really want to see @Fooster play Dead Space remake at some point, one of my favorite horror games of my younger years and the remake was just really well done

This is possibly my favorite game of all time and I was so excited to watch you play it. As others have commented, it was like playing it for the first time again, but also was fun to experience someone else experience it (mostly) for their first time as well. I've had my fingers crossed for a decade for a sequel or eve. Another game in this universe by this team again... They did it perfectly.

Fooster, loved watching this. Had one question though. Did you forget about molotovs? those things a free alien repellent grenade you could make. But you did amazing all things considered. Would love to see you do the DLC's

Hey Fooster. Loved the video. It's my first time watching someone play this game and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I just want to point out one thing I've realized. So the end of this game is very ambiguous about Amanda Ripley’s fate. That light on her helmet at the end is definitely a ship and I think from the fact that she doesn't have any visible injuries or any wear on her space suit it's safe to assume she survived. Whether that ship was the Torrens and the crew was able to hide from the Xeno or if it was Weyland-Yutani coming to get their creature is up for debate but I don't really think it matters. Aside from this game, it's mentioned in the movies that Amanda died in her 60s without having children or reuniting with her mother. Now whether that is the truth or a lie is up for debate as WY likes to lie a lot but I think either way it is safe to assume she survived this encounter. Which brings me to my point. They have really set themselves up perfectly to firmly establish this game as cannon and bring back both Amanda and Ellen Ripley. There's how they do it. They simply have to say that the WY exec’s explanation was a lie and they've been holding Amanda in hypersleep all these years as punishment for refusing to tell them about the Xenos or help them catch one and she's still alive. Then we could finally get a reunion between Ellen and Amanda and maybe have them team up to take on a Xenomorph one last time. I don't think this explanation would be a big stretch because Weyland-Yutani would definitely do something like this and think about the wording of the exec’s explanation. He said Amanda never had kids. That's what you would say if you were lying. You wouldn't lie and say she had kids because then Ellen would want to meet her Grandkids and when you couldn't produce them she’d figure out something was going on. I think they could totally pull this off. Sigourney Weaver has already said she would return to the role if the script was right. This probably won't happen knowing how Hollywood works these days but I think it would be epic if it did.

This is one of the few games that will put some real fear into you,you are not a colonial marine,you have no heavy weapons,stealth is all you have.

So many times I jumped even though I wasn’t playing- probably didn’t help that I was playing my own first run of the game in between watching your playthrough lol. Im also surprised you managed to hold onto so much flamethrower fuel. I used all of mine up in the reactor so when I got to rebooting the generator to dock the torrens I ended up having to use pipebombs to keep ole' gal off my tail and the stress was unreal. Loved the playthrough! Love that unlike the ppl who played when it first came out you didn’t try to strongman your way through. I appreciate that we could share this anxiety together, and I hope your nightmares weren't too intense

Really pleased and also feels sorry that I won’t be able to go through all of this myself and seeing others to suffered. Thanks for your hard work and big heart to went through all of this. And by the way, from my opinion, I think she is been planted. In the game AvP II, main character in marine chapter had said “They want hosts, they need her alive.” And those cutscenes after she wakes up to find being held in the nest, you can tell that they’re trying to recapture her, not killing. Anyway, great work by the long way.

This entire series was amazing! Hands down awesomeness! I can't make myself play 'point to point' games. They annoy me, in gameplay. But, I love the stories that are in them. Fooster, you are my absolute favorite game streamer! I love the Alien movies and never played this and I'm so glad I watched these!!!!

Dunno if you know this already, but if you want a surefire way of knowing if Xeno is around ceiling vents to snatch your giblets, watch for drool coming down, a little bit of an eagle eye can save ya.

A tip for next time you're in the Reactor returning from the Nest, save a lot of ammo & resources by just focusing on the objective. Once you've pulled the final lever to direct power to the central core, all of the Industrial Androids will catch fire & die anyway 👍 Said Industrial Androids are also immune to the Stun Baton & the EMP, which is why those weren't working on them.

just wanted to say I watched every video of this series, didn't skip a single moment ether! if anything I watched a few moments over! I actually used to stream this game and try it, I gave up because my saves were too hard. I had thought I shoulda been at least halfway done, boy was I wrong!
