I did not expect for this song to move me like this, but it did 😭 this combines both her synth pop sound and her chill love songs in one, and I love that. I love the instrumental a whole lot, from the warm pads they used in the verses, to the soft piano like instrumental in the pre chorus, and the flute like synth in the chorus. also, that bridge still gives me chills at how good it is lol. Lastly, this MV is so beautiful. The play between warm and cool tones here, how warm and cools may represent the gods (?) and their sets, creating a lot of contrast further adding to the "loving you but I can't" theme, is so damn cool. she made a masterpiece bro, she really did! SOTY for sure, this one is going to be hard to beat
I cracked when the 2nd chorus came because I was not expecting those beautiful runs and I felt like I was transported or something. Those runs are so healing to my ears and it made me emotional.
her vocal delivery in this song is amazing honestly, just hearing all those runs she did even towards the bridge was chilling. Taeyeon vocals are too magical 😭
It's the most quiet piece of Epic music that I have ever heard. It understates itself, it's chill and laid-back but it is SO POWERFUL. The instrumentation is quieter than what one may expect but that just allows Taeyeon's vocals to shine better. Less is more. :)
absolutely agree with you on this! There is not much complexity to the instrumental in a way, but what is there, is just incredible. It builds such a great ambience for her vocals to shine, and man.. her vocals in this one is truly something special :,)
@@AllGreyy Agreed! It's her voice that got me into K-Pop in the first place. 'I' hooked me and pulled me in and there is no escape. I am fine with that. :)
Will definitely react to the album very soon! Can't wait for it honestly, last year's b-sides were amazing. Also, no problem, always here to support the king 💛
I've only been into Kpop for one year now. I only ever knew of Taeyeon because of GOT's "Step Back". Being an Aespa fan I was there for Karina and Winter. But Taeyeon was a standout for me. And then this dropped on the 14th. Never listened to her stuff before. Zero teasers. Checked it out. She owns me now. This song isn't just one of my top Kpop songs. It's one of my favorite songs of all time. And I'm older than most Kpop fans. I'm also a metal/industrial/hard rock/alt-rock guy. I've no business loving Kpop at all. But I do. I'm also a huge David Bowie fan. He's a true legend. And I would have this song in my playlist with him. It's the embodiment of perfection. Aesthetically, musically, vocally. I'm awestruck and this feeling isn't going to leave me.
That's the very reason I love kpop so much right there, because when groups or soloists manage to surprise me, it's always a magical experience for me personally! Taeyeon has stunned me before with her b-sides, but whats crazy is that INVU sorta surpasses even those moments. All the things in this song was just crafted all to my likings tbh, and her voice was just the cherry on top! she dropped a masterpiece for real 🙏
