Great to see the Retrostore back on our screens, one of the best channels for lawnmower maintenance and wish you done more. I've watched all your videos in the past and thoroughly enjoyed then from start to finish 👍
Brilliant Martin, glad to see you back on the important stuff I am really looking forward you doing the bike projects as well other lawn mowers and cars. Its you who showed me how to fix my lawn mower so for ever a fan, keep going pal.
I am one of your mower apprentices (78 years young ). ' Qualified ' now and really enjoyed the last couple of years , never failed to fix one thanks to your expert training , happy days and good to see you havent lost your touch , best to you and yours .😉
Got to admit I'm one of these who drains the petrol out, charges the oil and clean the air filter at the end of every season! 😂 i know its only a mower at the end of the day but i enjoy the end of year tinkering.
Nice one Martin. I have done this job many times as a pro grass machine technician. Now you need to get back to that old Atco standard and git er done. Shame im going back home tomorrow, i could have popped round and helped 😊. Maybe next year you wont go on holiday every time we come up to lincolnshire.
Martin, it is good to see you posting on this channel once again. These Briggs & Stratton engines can be made to run perfectly without too much effort.
Hello, liked the video very succinct on what needed to be done, and how to do it. I did think cleaning the outside of the mower would have been done first, but , your way worked just as good.
Good old mower! I have run my mower on anything from ethanol free to E50 (much cheaper here) and it doesn't seem to mind. It runs the same regardless. I always run mine out of fuel completely at the end of the season and add a little ATF to the tank as it runs out. Always fires right up the next year.
Martin Great to see you doing some jobs again like lawn mowers Iam currently on Holiday in Bulgaria and getting you on RU-vid nice and clear very enjoyable video look forward to more to come please nate 😂😂😂 Phil in stoke
Hang onto the older petrol/gasoline powered mowers. It's getting harder to find these mowers today, they are being replaced by battery powered versions.
If i remember rightly you didn't powder coat that mower deck because it was just for Sharon to use occasionally. Its done well and I bet you still get another couple of seasons out of it at least. Unbelievable, lol
Good to have you back on the tools Martin just looked through your playlist, you powder coated it 2 years ago and changed carb 8 months ago ? Seems longer
dirty carb jets for those not in the know. Theirs needle 🪡 size called jets. They have holes 🕳️ for fuel flow. If fill up it starts hunting like Martin’s, time for carb clean. Inspect air filter those will make a mower hunt. Air-fuel ratio is off. Oil change. Spark plugs can get fouled. Remove carb clean get a collection of old tooth brushes. Shop towels air dries. The next thing to look at deeper is the magnito points get smoot’s Usually it’s not the setting with them points clean between the contacts. Fall is good time to visit your equipment little tlc. That way come spring or just fall leaves 🍂 you ain’t gotta take out a second morgage just to buy an another mower.
Is it really 5 years ago? Don't know what it is about my mower but if you fill it with petrol and come back a couple of days later it will be empty....
I got a Honda lawnmower off my neighbour over the road for my dad he said it it was hard to get it running it turns out he overfilled it with oil so my dad drained and replaced the oil new spark plug and fuel and it works perfectly not bad for a free lawn mower I say
