it's a good dog with a bad owner. re-enforcing bad behavior and dominance struggle. the dog needs to know its place and never show aggression to its master or other friendly humans.

@@gsin311 yea people are actually morons. I've had 2 rotties growing up and at 5 years old I could stick my face in their food bowl while eating and there was literally no reaction. I own a rhodesian ridgeback as my first dog and its the same thing. I trust a toddler to go up to my dog while eating/playing with a toy. And it was something I actually had to work on and fix when I got him at 8 weeks old, he had food agression. Easy as fuck to fix.

I have 55 kg male Rottweiler. He is an excellent working dog with all necessary training for protection of persons and property. All this said, he would never dare to growl or even show any sign of disagreement if I would take anything from him, even the food.

When I was a boy, I would tease our dog.....He would go nuts and bite the hell out of my hand while growling ferociously. This scared the hell out of my mother until we realized that Smiley never broke the skin.....He was a great dog and a good friend.....But, he didn't put up with much crap.
You clearly don't know much about Rottweilers. They are built different. There's a reason the Rottweiler purr has a name. Learning their vocalizations is different than any other breed. I've had one purr almost as loud as the beginning because he liked me scratching his back
Your pet should never be allowed to show any aggression towards you or members of the household, family or guests. Not even in play. You don't have to inflict harm to get them trained for this, but it should never be allowed.
One of my earliest memories of as a child seeing these dogs. They were so big but also very nice. Like big babies. And when they smile it melts my heart.
Rottys are the biggest babies I know, lol. My neighbor had one and as big as he was, when the neighbor always walked the dog past my house, he’ll always wait by my house for a few minutes to see if my pup would be outside to play with him, 😂🤣😂. I’ve never met nor witnessed a vicious rotty. Just don’t let them dogs sit on your leg, sheeeesh 😂🤣😂
Rotties have a distinct way of expressing their loyalty and playfulness that unlike most other dogs consists of it looking like they’re snarling. My yorkie does the same shit. The happier he is the louder he snarles. It’s the funniest thing

He is definitely not the leader, and most of The comments are from people who have no idea and on top of that they encourage this type of behavior. This growl seems playful to them, so a dog doesn't growl when playing or lick his lips with anxiety like he does at the beginning of the video. Poor anxious dogs, without exercise and all the rednecks say that they love dogs if they love them,from misinformation and selfishness of not wanting to give your furry friends the discipline, exercise and love they need

Our long gone over the rainbow bridge Golden retreaver meant it when she growled like that over a bone or food. And it was only with me in specific.. she had something against me and I never could figure it out
I don't think it's harmless or normal. It's a possessive behaviour. Imagine if a child tries to take his toy. Or another dog.... My dog would never do it to me or any human. Of course we have practiced when he was a baby, b/c I was afraid that something like that might happened. He did growl a bit at my niece, but we would correct him right away. So it's not normal or healthy behaviour. It's bad parenting.
@@bestdjaf7499it is normal with many Rotties. It is their way of talking. These specimens don’t always like too much hugging or kissing. And they will never bite their owner. It’s just a very close relation some won’t understand or have. I could bite my babas lips while he did this.
There isn’t rly a difference, some dogs just fear their owners enough not to bite. Sometimes they are never bitten and instead of counting themselves lucky they’re like “nahhh you just don’t get how we play” lol
I love the personality in rotts. Sweetest pup. You raised him right dad. He like "you play too much " 🤣 loyal to family and also defensive over property. Tough little baby 💗
Keep messing with him like that you will get bit. Maybe not today, tomorrow or next year, but eventually as he ages, he's going to forget it's just a game. Just remember you brought it on yourself. Don't get mad at him for doing what comes natural to a big dog.

I call these vocalization’s ‘acknowledgement warnings’. They’re hardly from reactivity, it’s literally just him letting you know he’s aware of you and focused on what you’re up to bc it could disturb him. He’s probably not even worried about you taking the bone away, he just knows you could and he just doesn’t wanna deal with you inconveniencing him lol he’s grumbling to grumble, not to scare Edit: some dogs growl grumble snarl and bark big compared to other dogs that don’t in the same way that people have different slang and accents or verbal stims. Some dogs just sound like actual fucking machinery and talk in their throat. Because it’s not a big deal to his owner, who introduces calm and silliness to the dynamic, he really is just making a show of it because he likes to. I love that you understand your Rottie’s personality and interact with him positively ❤ you’re meant to be together

yes it is. you HAVE to establish boundaries and a hierarchy with your dog especially if it's a "dangerous" breed. Taking your dog's toy is a great way to remind them that YOU are the boss. You do NOT want a dog to be defensive over his toys / food, this is when tragedy happens. You clearly have no clue about how dogs work lol
