Many people do not understand Satan’s tricks and wiles. He has successfully displaced Jesus Christ in most churches and projected, elevated and replaced him with their GO, their Church membership and one spiritual item or the other. You can hardly hear testifiers mentioning Jesus’s name or projecting what he did for us by his death, burial and resurrection. You only hear things like “The God of my father Bishop, Prophet or Pastor so, so and so”. You hear “ My GO, my Papa, my prophet said”. Not what Jesus said. Testimonies are supposed to bear witness to the saving grace and power of Jesus Christ so that sinners could be converted to him. Rather satan has crafty twisted it to exalt GOs, advertise them and their churches to draw more members/money and distract people from seeing Christ. Satan’s key strategy has always been to obscure Jesus Christ as much as possible from the Church he died for. This is because Jesus is the savior of the world, the bridegroom and head of the church, the one by whom men are saved and the one by whom we all come to the Father. Folks, this is pure idolatry and Satanic exaltation in the Church of Jesus. Anyone with the eyes of the spirit can spot it. We should call out this worrisome trend.

Exactly, it's only the pastor that will now refer to God or Jesus. Some people are still living in the old testament. Why can't you just say in Jesus name? Jesus name is exalted not my pastor and the veil is torn, we all have access to Him. My mom used to tell me about grace she enjoyed as a new convert, just cry or feel sad and see how God will work in her favor. I've experienced such things too😅, just be saying "God please now" and God will just smooth things for me, few minutes later I'm apologizing for my childish tantrums 😂😂😂.

My concern in all of this is the fact that the gospel of Christ is being misconstrued to be only for miracles. Most acclaimed Christians these days tend to focus more on miracles and caring less about the truth of the gospel. That's the reason for the attacks on the very few that are preaching the raw truth of the gospel that tends to undermine the church tradition of majority of these miracles preachers.

I will never doubt the miraculous because I have seen the hand of God. But miracles are not central to Christianity. Miracles are for babies in the faith, which is why I have issues with churches/ministries that do not preach anything other than miracles. Lazarous was raised from the dead, but he is not alive today. Therefore, every miracle is ephemeral. I have serious issues with the kind of branding churches do today. Because the end game is really not promoting Christ but the denomination. We forget that Jesus said, "If I (Jesus and not your denomination or GO) be lifted up, I will draw all men to myself". Something else I really struggle with is the proliferation of "helpers of God", which in my view is just displaying ignorance because the Bible is replete with examples of God displaying his sovereignty without the need for any man helping Him. Abraham and Sarah's unbelief couldn't stand in the way of God's purpose of bringing about Isaac. Zachary's unbelief could not stand in the way of John being born. In fact, God had to use a donkey to correct Balaam. Therefore, no one can help, ridicule, or invalidate God. I have been in church for a long time (grew up in church), and I have been to quite a few, but I have yet to find one I completely agree with. One thing I won't do is stop going to church. However, one thing I have decided I will not do is defend any denomination or pastor for salvation is very personal...

Paul taught till midnight, someone fell down and died, he went down and brought him back to life and continued teaching, it was not a big deal raising the dead, the message was the central point. Salvation is personal but we have a book which is our yard stick. Jesus died, buried and rose again according to the scriptures. So if Jesus was according to the scriptures then our whole christian life is also according to the scriptures.

Miracles are real, many of us have experienced it. I once had a dream of robbers attacking my apartment in Ibadan Oluyole extension. In the dream I took a gun and chased them away. Surprisingly I woke up only to see the kitchen mosquito net torn down as if someone was trying to force his way inside. Walking out I met a neighbour who said thieves had raided the street overnight and people were recounting their experiences of them. I of course didn't go to church to share this testimony but I appreciated God for his divine protection. I believe in Jesus christ and give all praise to him. I also honour the Pastor God is using tk teach me doctrine but his name never featured in any of my prayers because he didn't die for me nor is his name given authority under the heavens. Shalom!!!!

Right there in the hall, none of the students knew the answer to the question. But how did she know that none of them knew? Red flag. A sister sitting beside her was from a different denomination-another subtle way of suggesting one is superior to the other. There are many fake testimonies out there, but that doesn’t mean God doesn't send us miracles.

This idea of praying in the name of the God of your man of God is mind-boggling... these so-called Christian people are being taught to serve the creature rather than the Creator. With the litmus test or checking all spirits to know which is of God, I would say that these testimonies are exaggerated with the intention of attracting... I believe in the miracle by Christ Jesus.

We all have our own denominations, like different flavors of ice cream, each with its quirks. But just because we’ve picked a flavor doesn’t mean we should leave our brain in the freezer! God gave us this fantastic tool to think and reason, so let’s use it. Even the Catholic Church faces criticism of its doctrine. If God's chosen church is being criticized, it should examine the concerns to understand where it may be going wrong or why people are raising those issues. There was a time, it was pastors appearing to members in their dreams and delivering them from trouble...it became a norm in some churches. Today, many pentecostals in their denominations see their man of God as the mediator between them and God. These men of God are still sitting comfortably in the seat of Moses. Unfortunately, these practices are alien to the early church but they are celebrated today.

Bishop Oyedepo had even warned members severally to stop it, it is members that are not scripturally worded that keep saying God of Oyedepo... Even me I frown at testimonies that the testifier is exhalting the pastor. And anyways if someone says the God of bishop oyedepo or the commission, atleast I'll say I know his God, because whenever he starts to pray Oyedepo always call his God... He starts with in the Name of Jesus my God who is I AM ". And that is the name of the True God of Abraham! BUT for other pastors they don't mention their god, which could be a a deity, Krishna or something else... So I don't believe any pastor that his god doesn't have a name when he prays.
