Jianhao tan is the best writer, the subtle tkne he sets are absolutely brilliant, all of the shots of vicky and madam soot beng, madam soot beng refers to herself as i, after the restaurant scene with vicky and her classmates, madam soot beng refers to herself as mommy, which is just hearbreaking to hear.

I never cry when I watch something even when IT IS A MOVIE, cuz movie's are emotional asf- but this was a whole new level. I know im late to comment but I've watched this 3-4 times and it made me cry. When Amander tells she bought her brushes and all, she packed her luggage, that's when it got the most emotional. Absolute masterpiece!!! There are soo many takeaways from just one short film. The direction was neat, story telling was brilliant, the emotions were beautifully displayed and the cast did brilliant acting. I started crying because teachers get treated so horrible and it’s hard for them right now especially because of covid and so many people lost their jobs and it’s also sad because she started crying because she lost her house and almost her daughter and she packed for Vicky and started crying because she didn’t want to lose her daughter and I also cried some more 😭
