I honsestly have a feeling that in order for charlie to help someone redeem themselves, she has to learn of their dark and gruesome past and alastors is proberbly the darkest.

Okay so I think I've got the story: It is still set in Hell, most likely at the hotel. Charlie's plan of redemption has started working and so as their souls become more pure once again they start to return to their God given form (aka human). Due to the fact that Charlie has touched is soul in such a positive manner Alastor has developed feelings and fallen in love with her. And they are happy together (even if they aren't together together) However Angel Dust has also been redeemed and purified. It is my belief that due to hardships and pain he has had to put up with in both Hell and earth, Angel is in desperate need of love, care and affection which Charlie provides as a friend as it is in her nature to do so. But we're still in Hell meaning that the people that end up there were not good people. I think that Alastor became jealous that Angel was getting Charlie's attention. So in a twisted way to make sure Charlie is only his, Alastor murders Angel even while he begs him not to. Unfortunately Charlie is able to stop him in time and so when she arrives she can see that Alastor is covered in blood with a sickening smile on his face. Upon seeing Charlie and her shocked/sad/disappointed/distraught face, Alastor realises what he has done both to himself and Charlie. Charlie's plan for redemption has ended in death and Alastor's soul is now blackened. Alastor quickly cleans himself up and readies his gun before his demonic side takes full control of his body and soul again. Charlie soon realises that he is about to become the powerful demon that he was when he first appeared so she tries to save him. Alastor tells her that there is no saving him and he did enjoy being with her because she made him truly happy, but he will always be a monster and he accepts that fact, letting the form of his demonic shadow surround him. As he gains more demonic power he commands his shadows to hold Charlie back so she can't stop him. And so in his final movements he relives the memories of the happy time they spend together, when he was redeemed, but also the event that led him to the decision to take his own life. (I believe he is killing himself so that he doesn't become a demon again) Alastor let's Charlie know that their love was Heaven for him (our love is God). Charlie wants him to say hi to God because she truly believes that he deserves to go to Heaven and that's where he will go when he dies.(Because who knows what happens when you die in Hell). That is my theory of the story behind this animatic, Thank You.

“Stick around here, make things better. ‘Cause you beat me fair and square.” Honestly this line coming from Alastor really just makes me want the show to end with him putting his cynicism aside and realizing that Charlie was right, she really can make things better for all of demon kind. This kind of exchange happening after she manages to reform him and he goes to heaven sounds pretty nice tbh.

Okay I know everyone is saying theyre in a relationship in this and thats probably what the animator meant but, GOD it kinda hurts me more to think about it as if They went into his memories to uncorrupt him or something but they couldn, and the only way to save him, is for him to pay for his sins or whatever and that means him dying. and his last sentences are him saying how much he appreciates and loves what charlie did for him so he could be free , and i KNOW thats not what it means but 😩

Absolutely stunning! I love the way how animated their actions and expressions in the song. I wonder, was there a woman in Alastor's past life who he was in love with, and Charlie was going through his memories in her place? Or she simply got in his memories and went along with them? Just a curiosity, because I don't understand Spanish very well, and maybe you already explained it in the description. 😅 Regardless, amazing job. Keep up the great work. 😊

Here is how I think this could fit into cannon just for funsies. Alastor is not wanted in Heaven because he has no real interest in it. He isn't welcome in hell either because he went against Lilith and Lucifer decisions to let the war run it's course as the prophecy predicts. However, he still finds redemption for his MORTAL Soul by sacrificing it to End the war and save both sides form eternal empty damnation. That would mean letting Charlie and the rest of his friends die and damn it he grew too attached to them to have their brilliant lives ended just because higher ups wanted ultimatums. Alastor, ever the unique one since he laned in hell, understands he is just as much demon as he is mortal so he uses all his power to separate in two. The demon being a straight up brainless over powered monster and the other a plain human that was still a murderer but still had thoughts, feelings, morals, standards and a heart. He uses his time as a human to contain his demonic side with the Hazbin gang waiting for the right time to unleash it and kill every soldier waging war. He also has last fun times with everyone before everything ends. Alastor knows though what must be done once the plan is complete. Their plan works perfectly, the war is ended and there is now peace between heaven and hell. There is the little BIG problem that a giant monster is still rampaging and no one is able to contain it or kill it. The spell only worked one way and the two cannot become whole again. He knows the only way to stop this is to kill himself bringing the monster down with him. Charlie runs and finds him when she finds out the private plan or note Alastor leaves for everyone. A final goodbye. She finds him, shotgun ready, and a summoning glyph on the floor that had already been used to call his demonic power to his location. She begs him to not do it, "There must be another way!" but he smiles one filled with sorrow and tells her that, unlike her, he is already too damaged. Alastor tells Charlie to make things better here. Picking up the gun he tells her to stand back. He hopes they will miss him, and he won't leave without letting Charlie know how thankful he is that she was in his life and what she has done for him and everyone else in hell. To keep being brilliant once he is gone because they don't need him anymore. He will gladly trade his life for theirs. And if god exists it's the love of his found family/friends. "Say hi to god" "Great Alastor 'Altruist' died for his friends. This is where the story ends." The headline reads. If you read this far... Im sleepy and had nothing better to do hope you liked it lol

I had to watch that back to let it all sink in. 0:32 with the rising chords just made is like letting the damn walls fill with grief before “Our love is god” so isolated and quiet, the first and last crack in the wall before all the emotions spill out. I’m sure someone’s already said this, but the subtle touches here are amazing, especially in the facial expressions. In particular, Alastor forcing a smile while a tear starts to form in the corner of his eye hits me hard. Not my ship, but an excellent piece of art nonetheless, and one that I can’t stop replaying.

And you were able to take Hazbin Hotel, AND Heathers, AND your amazing artistic talent, and make this masterpiece?! Just👌👌👌

I find myself watching and re-watching this. The way you hinted at the story, the subtle and not-so-subtle shadows and blood stains, that build up at the end where we see Alastor murdering someone while Charlie is in the other room... just sends shivers down my spine every time I watch it. The heart breaking thing about this. Since Charlie is in Alastor's memories she is far more aware of what he becomes and who he is as a person. (You'd know this if you read the description). But beyond that with the shadows of his present self and his powers seem to linger around him and only she is aware of them. And in the end despite her best efforts all she can do is accept it. Alastor will forever be the Radio Demon no matter how she tries to change his perception of reality.

Okay... can I just say... that you are an absolutely amazing, fantastic artist and storyteller too??? I mean you got me invested in this not even 10 seconds in goddamn!! This resonates to me much, much bigger than just a Charlastor animatic (though i love the ship). This... this is just a work of pure art.
