"Latinos are at the forefront of American cultural change."
Salvador has over 20 years of experience helping organizations link their design and market strategies with the many cultures within the US. Being bilingual and bicultural gives him the ability to more easily recognize the common-ground bases for successful solutions. For the last few years Salvador has been working on understanding how the emergence of a new cultural identity is changing the marketplace, and influences the type of experiences people seek. He is a regular speaker at conferences on topics such as cultural participation and demographic trends, and is a recipient of the 2008 Latino Business Leadership Award. Kind and insightful, Salvador brings a multicultural wisdom that shifts board room conclusions to be inclusionary and forward thinking.
#latinoentrepreneurs, #empoweringlatinos, #latinoexecutives, #latinos, #SayYesToLatinoExecutivesinAmerica, #americanlatinos, #latinocareers, #latinosinamerica, This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. @@Merry19ss I'm sorry Mary, I don't speak Spanish, but I can somehow understand what you're trying to say. To summarize, the Castillian colonizers created a different racial caste system in the Philippines compared to Latin America. These are the following racial categories that are established by the Spanish Colonial Government in the Philippine Islands: Castellano/Peninsulares: Spaniards who were born in Spain. Criollos: Spaniards who were born in the Americas. Insulares: Spaniards who were born locally in the Philippines. Indio: A local Filipino that is of pure or predominant Austronesian lineage. Negrito: A local Filipino that is of pure or predominant Melanesian/Papuan lineage. Sangley: A local Filipino that is of pure or predominant Chinese lineage. Mestizo de Español: A Filipino with mixed Austronesian and Spanish lineage. Mestizo de Sangley: A Filipino with mixed Austronesian and Chinese lineage. Mestizo de Tornatras: A Filipino with mixed Austronesian, Chinese and Spanish lineages. I'm Mestizo de Tornatras, since I have Austronesian, Chinese and Spanish in me. Everyone in the islands whose of mixed heritage is considered a Mestizo. I hope this is helpful. Muchos Gracias.

Eh, regions with majority indigenous populations such as southern and eastern Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, and Bolivia have a lot of pure or near pure indigenous populations. Plus most brown Hispanics are either pardo, mestizos who’s dna is over 50% native, or indigenous. Also a study found that around 80% of Mexicans are some shade of brown.

@@anonymousboi949yea, but in Mexico, the indigenous people are the minority, most of us are mestizos (mestizo in Mexico simply means mixed: indigenous with European, with African, with Filipino, with Arab, or whatever, percentages or order do not matter)
@anonymousboi949
@anonymousboi949 Год назад
@@aleydisc.7192 yeah I don’t disagree here, and plenty of gringos and Americanized latinos try to push gringo logic of race binaries on latinos, when Latino culture is largely a mix of Iberian, western African, and Native American . But my point is that there’s still plenty of amerindians in Mexico, with majority native states including Puebla,Oaxaca, Chiapas etc.

@@anonymousboi949 Of course, most identify as mestizo in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, but that is ridiculous, because even many who are 100% native identify as mestizo and some even as white, that also happens in the US, many mestizos identify as white , and many natives as mestizos, even many Africans identify as white, it does not make sense. There is no mestizo ethnic group, if you notice the majority of those who identify as mestizo, their future generations become castizo and later simply white, it is only a transitory step. If a native dies and archaeologists find him a thousand years from now, they will make a study and determine that he was a native man taking into account his highest genetic percentage. All humans have some kind of mixture, there is no pure person, for example many Anglo-Saxons have a percentage between 8% and 12% of Afro-sub-Saharan blood, but that does not erase their identity, they continue to identify themselves as white because that is what they are. The Japanese have a lot of Anglo percentage, to see tell them that they are not Japanese, that they are only simple mestizos? Definitely the mestizo does not exist
