I wouldn't call guns merciful. But you are right that thier choice of weapons invites us to look into thier personalities. A knife would require close combat, which is odd because Knives hates humanity and enjoys being isolated from them. Compared to Vash's gun(s) which allows for range, which is odd because he hates being alone and is regularly mistreated by people. I think thier choices of weapon can invite us to see how displaced they are. Knives hates humanity, but it doesn't take it upon himself to not move on from it and lets hatred drive him to make it personal. Compared to Vash, who hates being alone, because in the loneliness he is left to his thoughts of loss (friends die often) So in some way he is reminded at how seperated he is from them.

3d has improved dramatically over the past few years. Sadly people still diss on it

Studio Orange really sets them apart from everyone else attempting to use 3d, no one is close

The animation is excellent - no argument there - but the art style looks like they tried to blend cgi with a 2D anime cell shaded look but instead ended up with something lifeless and desaturated. just look at High-Fi Rush for a better example of this sort of art style done right.

They are actually holding a panel the day of the final episode so they might drop a season 2 announcement.

@@Dunkingsonn I dunno why hold it back for so long, all those old Trigun fans thinking that this would just be a contorted 12 episode remake of the series dropped it when they didn't get to know that this season functions like a prologue which was why everything starts out so wildly different and many details were different. I would have preferred to be let known early on that its a remake starting wayyy earlier than the OG trigun had

I feel like the idea of Knives being a superhuman being rejecting humanity and deciding that his philosophy was that humanity had to go in order to make place for his superior life form was quite interesting and even more villainous

SPOILER Considering we just lost a main character in the newest episode, it would certainly work to bring in a new character to join their small team.

Not everyone will like 3D anime, buts its definitely improving. And as more people learn to work with 3D, more 3D anime will keep coming.

@@Icenstoiler Fate is animated by Ufotable, a studio full of top notch veteran animators with several decades of experience . Not every studio can be Ufotable and Ufotable does not have the staff to animate every show (let alone maintain the quality you expect from them). Considering their prestige, they probably command a high asking price and have long waiting periods since they are always in demand. If everyone went with Ufotable, we'd probably have like one anime series a year. Thus, other studios are in demand. And with those other studios include the newer 3D studios.

Anime elitists are annoying and always will be.

They're actually on par. You're just toxically nostalgic. That show isn't perfect and this reboot isn't as bad. Their balanced

Cut the theatrics. Nobody is “ruining” anything.
