To get involved in the issue of the identity of a person, it is necessary to understand their perception of the gender they declare to possess, for this a long struggle began through the marches of pride from 1992 until finally on May 9, 2012 it was sanctioned the first Gender Identity Law that is, without a doubt, the first law worldwide that recognizes and allows transgender and transgender people to register in their documents with the name and gender of choice, which also orders that all treatments Doctors of adaptation to gender expression are included in the Obligatory Medical Program, which guarantees coverage throughout the public and private health system.
“The Argentine Republic allows same-sex marriages since July 15, 2010. In this way, the country became the first in Latin America to recognize this right throughout its national territory. In addition, it was the second country in America (after Canada) and the tenth worldwide to legalize this type of union ”(Wikipedia).
These two great milestones in relation to the LGBT community make us proud as citizens and State to the point that all the voices that rise year after year are not in vain and that in this way and with unparalleled support, than in others countries do not occur, on behalf of congressional banking we have conquered rights that belong to us as free people.
