Honestly great idea, what they gonna do ban chess boards. Chess is way better than people going on Facebook. I graduated 10 years ago and paying barely any attention in school has made 0 difference in my life. I should clarify now, because I don't check back on comments. I do not know what the current status of Coolmathsgames is and if its safe or not BUT in the past like more than 6 years ago now, a few schools in my area and apparently other surrounding areas have school computer systems shutdown for a while, most of the people I knew and my past self included witnessed wacky shit when sneakly playing coolmathsgames.

I remember every school around me was having the equivalent of a crusade against chess, banning the websites and taking away the boards and my school just bought all their chess boards for super cheap and started a chess tournament. We had around 200 people all competing, it was beautiful

We use security that scans the metadata which will still flag it as a game site and will be blocked. Inspect element and scripting languages are also blocked for students by default. Just do your school work, its not worth being called out in class in front of your friends.

That doesn't apply to all students. Most would actually pay attention if there aren't any distractions, and using this mindset will cause many of those people not to get the opportunity to focus.

As a person in highschool. I am the ONLY chess player. The backstory is basically i kept beating my friends, randoms, and got so good at chess in the library to the point where people started recognizing me. And since then, nobody has faced me except for one person that was my equal Chess IQ, and the game ended in a draw after the bell rung and we had to go to class.. i never saw that man again

my teachers let students bring anygame they want at the end of the year, in informatics you can play anygame you want for the whole hour, so if its informstics i can play chess for the entire hour, and if its a lesson you can make the whole classroom a "child" casino and the teacher wont care, so yeah i have amazing teachers
