Sonic Adventure 2 (Japanese: ソニックアドベンチャー2 Hepburn: Sonikku Adobenchā Tsū?) is a platform video game developed by Sonic Team USA and published by Sega for the Dreamcast console and the last Sonic game to be released for a Sega console and is a sequel to 1998's Sonic Adventure. It was released in North America, Europe, and Japan in June 2001 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The game was ported to the Nintendo GameCube and re-titled Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (ソニックアドベンチャー2 バトル Sonikku Adobenchā Tsū Batoru?), with brand-new features as well as minor changes in the level design. The original game and content from Battle was released in high-definition on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in October 2012. A version for Microsoft Windows was released in November 2012.
The game takes place after the events of its predecessing game: Sonic Adventure. The series antagonist Doctor Eggman releases Shadow the Hedgehog, who joins Eggman and treasure hunter Rouge the Bat to steal the seven Chaos Emeralds. The game's story focuses on the protagonists Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna and Miles "Tails" Prower as they attempt to stop Eggman and Shadow from collecting the Chaos Emeralds.

Sega won't release an updated Chao Garden game so we have to update it ourselves.

@@FireLordKryll that's why I'm taking the rumor with a grain of salt. Also, my expectation is that it will be a modern take on the Tiny Chao Garden. With that in mind I think the mobile game will test the waters before Sega implements it into another major Sonic game. Sonic Dream Team revamped the Adventure formula, too bad I don't own an apple device and wish for a console or PC port.

I do believe the Vi Chao is based on the character from Bug Fables. And I think the Corrin Chao is based on the Dragon form of said character. Cream Chao.

Glad to see you enjoy the mod i made. I look forward to making some more but haven't really had too much ideas. I could make more sonic ones but I liked doing the custom stuff the most. Big was pretty much the next one i wanted to do if i continued sonic chao, which i probably will at some point. It's just i didn't want to step on anyone else's toes who might also want to make a chao mod, but i guess there's room for many different chao evos based on characters. I also wanted to make some config settings to disable some evolutions if you are not also a fan of the series they are from. Like the other person has said, Vi is from Bug fables, Corrin chao is based on the dragon form more than the human form, and odin is another fire emblem character, I was going to do a third one from fire emblem but didn't end up doing it. I'm very much a beginner in 3d modeling and texturing, but seeing people enjoy my work is very encouraging.

You should do a show with the character chao. Like team sonic and dark (Including eggman and not Omega) and amy turns into chao because of eggman’s device and they try to find a way back

The gates are open for Character Chao!!! I'm so glad that the sample code alone was enough to get people started on this process. I wouldn't call it an "easy" mod to make, but it does require some experience with Blender/SAIO and some patience with the code and digging through the structs. Today I also published the first custom Tree mod to use the CWE API, too! There's a lot of possibilities coming out for the future of the Chao Garden, and I'm excited for it. Great content as always!

If we ever get a Silver Chao, we might get it just like the Odin Chao but with Hero side, Hero Medal and in the Hero Garden + Run/Run (just like Sonic and Shadow Chao)

i had just recently downloaded some of these mods for myself on Sa2 aiming to get a chaos chao while reenjoying some of the things the chao garden had but i'm the running issue i'm having is seeing if the modded chaos will reincarnate? i understand there's some type of lifespan added in with the mods like chao world extended. Also all my unnamed chaos that weren't aligned with good or bad all turned into vi chao for me unfornately when i was looking for a regular neutral type chao even with my more good aligned chaos turning into vi chaos since more of the modded chaos are dark chaos like rouge or eggman.

Can someone give me advice? I have a steam deck, downloaded this game because of nostalgia and to get the perks of playing online. But i tried playing it with a controller and it will not work at all. I still play it on my GameCube, but was excited to play this way. Do any of you have a steam deck and have figured out a way to play it the old school way on a controller?
