I find myself embracing the Divine
Like a thirsty mouth drinks of Heavenly wine--
And all the doubt and fear of being without
The love of another body--
Whether he could be godly--
Melts in my euphoric sight
And is sporadically undone
By the pale visage of my bloodless plight
Ever since the True Radiant Son
Did descend from On High to mingle
With this lowly future-Priestess,
Once commoner
(And yes, I’m still single.)
Color my heart-unraveled world with vibrant rainbows,
And with this newly-affixed crown
Around which blond tendrils grow,
I will overtake any residual fear
With a resounding hope I discover so near,
And Christ will not only be my Anointer
But will also prove my witty rejoinder,
At which time the skeptics and mystics all the while
Inquire as to where I got my gleaming smile
And ease-of-mental-disease; yes please--
I will say that my Savior lives, and then tease
That maybe they would have Him, too
If they just closed their books and let their guard down
(And also if they bowed down to their Maker
Without shame of stain or face of denying their nature.)
I lift up the Ascended One and recall my former (false) glory--
When I was afraid to embrace my episodic Bipolar story
Or this eagerness to conquer meagerness
With the fire of dim desire or mischief ill-managed (faultless)
→ Why couldn’t I escape from the artful delusions
That I perceived to plague my mind in its neurotic fusions?
→ I know why now, through the Sentient Spirit I have seen:
My Mystery is now Revelation,
For love of God & Nation:
I have adored the Christ and His Manifest Zeitgeist
Yes i have indeed...
