This is day 2 of the Bassmaster Eastern Open event on Lay Lake. On Day 1, the bite was kind of tough but I am hoping the rain today will fire up the bite. I am still in the hunt to make the cut. I just need to put together a good day. I may be too hardheaded because I am headed back up the river to where I am most confident. I am not here for points so anything less than making the cut is not even worth weighing in my mind. So, let's get after it and see if Lay Lake will treat me right.

I have always like you and your attitude. After watching this video I like you more. Doing well and winning tournaments you have done many times, but you showed caring and humility on a tuff day to your co-angler. I know u probably had a good reason but this angle isn't the best. Like to see what you're throwing and how you work the bait to learn from you. That's what i take from all your videos is learning from the best.. and not to mention you're funny as hell. Jus another ole good boy from bama. But damn that sucks I woulda thought you would've ran up river n caught'm they were on secondary stuff up river for us about week earlier. I have a question for u dc. So I live in Clanton and my friend fished a tournament Saturday on lay and the people that won it won it with 19 pounds and they were from Michigan. Beat all the locals and said they caught them a a spinner bait in the grass and caught 4 and 5 pounders. Is that possible to run a spinner bait through the grass like not over it but through it?
