FYI Chad, not only did Tweedy approve it but almost drove off the road when he first heard it on the radio he loved it so much. JC and the UTS are about to blow up, partly due to the success of this song. Just saw them live Friday night for the second time. They kill it on stage. JC has serious acting chops and he channels it well in their live shows. He's still doing a lot of theater work in Chicago.

Uptight Wilco fans below need to wake up and recognize that music is allow to have funk. The glaring anachronism is the point not the pitfall. JC and Kids These Days are inventing a neo-motown that is breathing life into a genre of music that has been stalled since we lost Miles Davis. Let yourself love it waxthumper, you know you want to. A cover is not an imitation, its an opportunity for reinvention.

I heard Jeff Tweedy and company love it. It is an amazing cover! The didn't take the easy and often trite way out by playing it note for note and just like the record. It takes a lot of courage to reinterpret a song in this manner. Great work fellas!
