Exodus 3:13--15,
Then Moses said to God, "If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?" 14 God said to Moses, "I Am Who I Am." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I Am has sent me to you.'" 15 God also said to Moses, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, and thus I Am to be remembered throughout all generations.

John 8v58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM. HE IS The Alpha the Omega the Beginning and the End. The One Who was, who IS, and who is to come! The King of kings and the Lord of lords.

In 2 Samuel 2:20 Asahel also said "Ego eimi" which means "I AM". Does this make Asahel also God?

I Am for Yahweh- YHWH- 4 holy letters- tetragrammaton

If you read that passage in its context it is clear that Asahel is not making himself equal with God.

exodus 3:14in ethiopian bible says "that is that will be" in a sense to say existent as is, but what it doesnot mean is "i am what I am" God didn't express itself as an idividual but instead as existent being. it didn't identify itself as 1st person or 2nd person or 3rd person. the meaning of "i am what i am" in amharic is i am what you see or the other sense would be don't bother who i am. the word is "yale/ያለ" means that is existed from unknown beginning, and "yenebere/የነበረ" means "that will be for eternity." na/ና" simply means "and".

Woinshate Mulate a good idea is to read how the Septuagint phrases it, as there is somewhat an interpretation present in translating from one language to another. in the Septuagint, it is εγω ειμι ο ων, I am the Being or the Existent One. This same name appears in Rev.1:4 and 8 to say "Who is".

The Hebrew expression in the Torah at Exodus 3:14 does not mean, I am what I am. the reasons for this are as follows; the Hebrew expression is ehyeh Asher ehyeh, the expression is used correctly in verse 12, where it says of God, "I will be with you". The word ehyeh is the verb " to be". It has a prefix which means "I" 1st person singular. So the expression means, I will/shall be. Asher is a relative pronoun which can mean who, which, that.The verb is in the imperfect state, it means that the action of the verb to be is unfinished. The phrase means, I will be what I will be. the ehyeh in verse 12 has the same meaning. YHWH is telling Moses that he is going to accomplish something on behalf of captive Israel. this expression is tied in with the meaning of the divine name, YHWH. The grammar is very easy to follow, it is when you look at the translation from Hebrew to Greek in the septuagint. In greek it is translated as egoo eimi ho oon. ehyeh and eimi are both verbs of existence, but they are structured differently. Ehyeh is 1st person imperfect state, while eimi is in the present indicative . The translators of the septuagint have used a present tense, eimi, to translate an imperfect state verb. They are different. To translate ehyeh they should have used the future indicative, esomi, I will be. Egoo eimi is used in the septuagint to translate the the personal pronouns, ani hu, ani, anochi (see Bauer's greek lexicon page 224 par 5. Ho oon, does not translate any of the Hebrew. So the greek eimi is a verb of existence like ehyeh, they are used in different tenses. ehyeh is future, eimi is present. The main problem is theological bias which confuses the translation into English. The greek septuagint is not inspired but the Torah is. Trying to connect the "I am " expressions in the New Testament with exodus 3:14 leads to the problems as they are not connected. I hope this helps.@@josephgard99

yes it says i am the beginning and the end with the sense of im an eternity. i have to tell you this though, revelation and the book of daniel are not from the good mighty God. this was pointed out to me. to look and understand rev 1:18. it says i have the key to hell and death, not the key to heaven and life. But the true son of God has the key to heaven and also said the word of God is the. the holly water the is the source of life if you live by it you'll be like tree that is planted by the river side that never dry even in summer. find it in jeremiah.

This is misleading ( As usual) since it is trinitarians who translated John 8:58 to read this way. All 5th century syriac versions e.t.c read "Before Abreham, I have existed". Thus not a direct quote from Exd 3:14.Jesus did have a pre human existance ( as did the angels, Job 38:8) They all 'existed before Abreham! So John 8: 58 does not prove the trinity since verse 54 admits that "If I glorify mself, my glory is nothing! It is my FATHER that glorifies me. It is HE, the FATHER that is mentioned in Exd 3:14, not the son.

there is no try Union God there's one almighty God Psalms 83:18 and his name is Jehovah the entire Bible refers to one God almighty the Bible says Jehovah says in Psalms bow down to me worship me I created the earth I created man all praise goes to me my name is Holy Holy Holy now if it don't get any clearer than that I don't know what does and he even wanted you to sing to him why it's called The Book of Psalms Daniel chapter 2 verse 17 praise the god of forefathers for eternity that's Isaac Jacob that would be Jehovah Yahweh for Hebrew I research the Bible thoroughly I read it and I got a good version of the Bible that wasn't distorted by man you could go on the internet and you can look up the original Scrolls and you can match him and Jehovah's name is 7236 * and when you put that name and place it fits just like a puzzle John 3:16 God sent his only begotten son so true father and a son relationship if you study the Bible and you look at it and you don't listen to to a person mislead you
