I Asked a Street Artist to Paint My Jacket 

Artists are never recognized until they pass on, this man has a gift

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! Such an incredible artist!!! My only criticism is that I wish he would wear some type of mask to protect himself from the paint fumes and propellants.

Way back in the 1970s, I watched a guy paint a similar scene on the side of a van. Customized.vans were the big deal back then. What’s impressive about this kind of artists is how fast they do their works. Time is money for them, so they don’t spend time reworking anything.

This guy is obviously an expert ... And you only gave him 30 euros... So he is a very humble expert too!🙏 So now you can show off in your 800 euros leather jacket... Enjoy .

I love these spray paint artists. Yes, a lot of it is repetitive and done with stenciling and copy/paste style work but it still blows my mind every time. Btw that’s not an insult, I simply mean there are a lot of people out there doing this type of work. I have 3 pieces of art from someone doing identical type of art in nyc. This one is really cool because it does go outside the norm with a nature-scape where as it’s most frequently cosmic-space themed where they layer colors then use round objects as stencils to create textures and at the end reveal a planetary system with shooting stars/little galaxies and such. I think there’s a few videos of this artist doing that exact type of piece. I’m not downplaying the absolutely overflowing level of talent on display even if alot of it is repetitive and there’s a lot of people doing it. It’s more an indictment on the current human culture that someone with that level of talent is just another street entertainer and not working in as a professional illustrator/designer or something making a huge salary. I left a show at Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Eve about 10 years ago tripping really hard on acid. Came across an artist doing this type of spray art. Most people were standing around just watching/filming. Over the course of an hour he pumped out like 6 paintings each as amazing as the last. Only half of them sold for like 20.00 each. As he finished a piece if there wasn’t a buyer he hung them on a board next to him. After an hour of just watching him melt my world(aided by the psychedelics of course) my girlfriend(now wife) reminded me it was time to go as it was approaching 2am. He was finishing a piece and there was 2 others still hanging that weren’t sold. When he finished that last piece I gave him every last dollar in my wallet for all 3. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-250.00 They hang on my walls professionally framed to this day.

Word of advise: If anyone want to get their jacket done like that, make sure it's real leather cause some faux leather and vinyl jacket will melt/catch fire/warp, real quick with the flames and that won't be the artist's fault if you didn't think of it before hand. *Also with jacket badly designed like the one in the video with a big seem straigh in the middle there is a big chance that the tread is nylon or plastic based and even if it doesn't melt right away, it will get damage and end up ripping up with normal wear of the jacket and it will unsew itself because the stress is on each side of the jacket. I'm not saying that to protect people from getting their jacket ruined but more so to protect street artists from dealing with TikTok Karens😅
