I think the reason the musty fake didn't work too well is because you didn't condition them with enough real musty's first. You have to make them know, imma musty the ever living hell out of this ball. So they prejump harder. Then you just go under.
I met a really nice guy so we ran duos together and he had some things of his own that he liked to do and I demolished them as many times as I could so he could score with them
Oh. My. God. The guy who made the training pack? Genius, i love this so much, hahahaha. The amount of effort he must've gone through to do this is hilarious - was there a prize for this? If not, there should be one for him at least 😄😄
The sidewall pogo can actually be useful if done in the right situation. That being (usually as a recovery) on the backboard and paired with a half-flip as you instantly reverse your direction without taking the time to turn. However it's almost never the best option... almost
As a recovery its quite bad compared to simply drifting towards the direction you wanna go to, however most useful place would be when you are fullspeeding against the goal wall and have an angle that directly bounces you back.. though thats more precise than the sidewall pogo
Okay Sledge, I just discovered a new mechanic I haven’t seen anyone do before and it might actually have practical uses in competition. It’s basically a speed flip but executed in the reverse direction instead of a half flip. Similar to speed flipping in the forward direction with no boost, doing so in the opposite direction gives you the same huge increase in speed while maintaining your cars backwards facing position relative to the direction you’re moving. It can be used to quickly recover while still facing the play or even used for freestyling to get a strong hit with the back of the car
I'm plat and I invented a mechanic I like to call the "ded waffle stomp" where you go for a double touch by take all the ball's momentum on the backboard and using a flip reset to score it, I haven't seen anyone score it, I think you should make it a video of it
I've been trying to come up with a new kickoff involving 2 sideways wave dashes and while using unlimited boost I'm able to do it successfully and I've timed it to be just as fast as the speed flip but in normal modes its hard to manage the boost enuf for the second wavedash to work maybe u can find somebody who can do it with limited boost on kickoff.
None of the Americans understanding the Fulham joke. Let’s just say I hope they get promoted back to the premier league one day and restore the glory they never had.
here's a real winning combo that can be performed in any 3s match using a couple of these "new" mechanics; say you and another tm8 are putting forward pressure on the opponents net and the other team gets a good clear. No worries, have your forward tm8 turtle and use them as a launchpad towards the sidewall, pogo off while your last back passes high mid, shoot the ball down to your now un-turtled friend below you and watch as the other teams axles are all simultaneously broken while your tm8 misses the wide open net despite the absolute rocket you sent straight at their hood, get scored on, then quit and uninstall
great content I have been watching your channel for a bit now and when you post it makes me think how long coming up with some of these videos takes thank you
Stall flick. Start by dribbling the ball, jump up and do a 180 and stall. It will be much lighter/slower than the normal 180 flick. Should bait the the defender pretty well
diagonal reverse musty. theoretically possible, but i haven't done it. jump up and hold up+left or up+right and musty opposite of where the flip started
benefits is it looks like you're preparing a fake or a wiff then you hit it opposite of where they're going or so. not necessary for me, but someone else try it :)
Lmfao what's that useless guy in the dominus doing in front of the opponents' goal at 5:12 ? It looks like he has terrible rotations and gamesense - he's got a champ decal but it looks like he plays like a platinum at best...
diamond freestyler here, Just thought about a stingpop where you do it on top of your teammate, who will be turtling to get the reset from the other car, from that, while the one who did the stingpop air dribbles the ball, the other one does a turtle to flying motion (forgot the name), where you press air roll right turtling, boost, and hold right on the analog (opposite if on air roll left)
Rocket Sledge, Once when I was in training on the right wall I somehow got a flip reset on the side of the right side of the ball then I stalled just under but also the side of the ball hitting it up and to the left while somehow making myself go up as well but to the left before the ball could get there with some boost direction and then i got another flip reset and scored off the backboard. Can you ask a freestyler to replicate this since I'm super rusty at the game now and probably wont be able to do it again. I did this probably 3 months ago or smth while I wasn't recording. All I remember was it looking fast and awesome. If I've had to give this mechanic a name it would be... Mirror'd Moon.
I’ve actually invented a new mechanic in plat it’s called faking !!! It’s where you have an open shot nobody around then you flip to the left to miss an open net it works all the time
Im gold and inverted "rocket jump aerial". It's easy to learn: hold foward, jump, wait until you almost touch the ground, and jump again. This jump is a great start to an aerial. (I hope you understand)
I am a plat and I invented a new mechanic “ fake faking “ basically u type faking in the chat and u come in to hit the ball but then brake and when ur Oppenet least expects it use all ur boost and ram the ball and dribble it to make a flick and basically just outsmart ur enemy
I know this vid is meant for memes, but this is how I viewed majority of the "mechanics" in this vid (take with a grain of salt.) Sidewall pogo dash: Useless in every way possible. Ice disguise: I don't think players are that stupid to think the puck has a username. Musty fake: Looks like something people did by accident then tried doing it repeatedly so they could justify it as a "mechanic." Pickled melon: Rocket League version of "Line Rider" (not a mechanic.) Backboard bounce: Just as useless as "sidewall pogo dash." (the ball would get cleared before they even did the bounce.) Reverse Obama Air Dribble: You'll run out of boost and have no speed in the air then give off the ball to the other team. Useless Flag Pole: They're in a private lobby with unlimited boost and was told to score there and probably waited until they got the clip. It's still useless as the title suggests. The ground spin: I literally do that at my net while waiting for my teammates to stop whiffing an open net then it comes my way and I save it normally (been doing that for years ngl.) The ytsum flick: If anyone actually pulls that off in a live game, they're either lucky or in gold lobbies because that ball would be pressured and saved by the opposing team. LAUNCHPAD: This is actually new to me and Banjee deserves credit for it. Even though the people he asked said "People probably did it 3-4 years ago but it kinda got forgotten." After I heard that I was like "BRUH, if people knew about this, I would've seen clips of it already."
While the firs ytsum was in a private lobby cos sledge wanted more clips, the 2nd one was in one of my ranked lobbies. Obviously the chance of getting it in anything other than 1v1 is absolutely tiny, but in 1v1 it can be done. I'm proficient in reverse dribbles and I can flick or 50 someone trying to challenge me like you would with a normal dribble but you'd be surprised how many people don't. At least half the time I'm reverse dribbling they tend to just back off and shadow, I imagine for a lot of people it's so surprising it just breaks your defensive instincts and probably they expect you to mess up and drop it. Regardless I can tell you for sure that even in my lobbies the problem with getting clips for this was not lack of opportunity, it was how fucking hard that mechanic is to do, I had plenty of chances but it's so fucking fiddly.
@@TheCNtheorum Ngl I appreciate the reply to the comment even though it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. JS I do respect you as a player because it said SSL and you have good car/ball control imo. Because of what you did in that vid, I was actually practicing it myself and realizing I need to utilize my rear view keybind more often. So I changed my keybinds up a bit to something I liked more. Also, I gave a sub because you make it look easier than it really is
I made the turtle jump and the fake tornado air roll. These mechanics are helpful tornado air roll fake is instead of making ur joystick other side of air roll you make it same side, try it for air dribble and turtle jump makes top of car face ground with small jump then spam jump, wave dash x2
