We knocked onto the canal boats of London asking to see inside... and it worked. The boat dwellers live in central London as a cheap way of life on the water. Meeting strangers is always an interesting experience.

lucky you have our passport, heard on the radio its the 6th most powerful in the world, so hopefully you'll be able to get into the UK. The only problem is getting the boat, hopefully, you can and after seeing this video I'd want to as well, but a slight problem, I'm 6'2 at 15, and somehow still growing, so I'd have to live bent over lol

Amazing! When we moved back home to London after a 6 year stint in the “fair city of Edinburgh” I desperately wanted to live on a houseboat but my husband wouldn’t budge. It feels like living the dream, honestly. 1K a year for a canal license and moving the boat every couple weeks to a new part of the canal. Half the month in Camden Town, the other half near Kings Cross, or even in the east London part would be awesome! Alas however, we currently rent a flat in Camden instead :/
