They usually have like actual ingredients for a decent price. Used to be able to get a pound and a half of rice, beans and actually decent corn tortillas there. Spices were a little flat, but you could make a few meals for $10.
What type of lame video idea is this? He must have not grown up poor. Which is a good thing. I don't wish it on anyone else, but come on man. I've lived long stretches of time off places like CVS, which some have way worse selections than this place! Dollar Tree and some similar places have everything you need just to live, period. Not for a day or week. Years! Like you said it even has ingredients. I'm always shocked about the prices and items when I go into one. I always feel like their inventory changes based on what they can bulk buy.
As a former employee; I wouldn’t risk getting food from dollar tree unless you make sure it’s not expired. I’ve had lots lots of customers come to me with expired food and my managers just put it right back on the shelf
The same at big lots and Walmart. Big lots tends to have a lot of expired items all the time. I currently work in Walmart and a lot of things you have to check. I've bought rotten potatoes once and didn't even know until I got home. I was so mad. 😂
@WhyshNomas69not broke, smart. You can get a decent sized pineapple at Aldi fire less than 2 bucks. Food is decently fresh/edible, and it’s a lot more cost effective than say Walmart or Kroger. If you think spending money smarter is “being broke,” you need to reevaluate what you’re spending your money on.
Same. Back in the day when I was poor there were weeks when I had a $10 dollar tree budget for that week and would walk about feeling excited about my purchases. Today, not even worth waste my time. Their products are terrible now.
When it became $1.25 that was the equivalent of 25% inflation, many items are now two bucks that used to be a dollar. That’s 100% inflation for poor people. And idiots that think corporations should be charge higher taxes are idiots because they don’t understand it’s the poor buyer that pays for that. Democrats in Illinois also raised taxes on gas, people don’t realize how many times you pay taxes on the same gallon of gas. It’s not just state impose taxes, there’s also federal, there’s the different corporate taxes at different levels and there’s more than that, you’re paying taxes repeatedly on the same items with money that was taxed. Friendly reminder that we were energy independent under Trump, but Biden spent his first month in office going back to Middle Eastern oil and stopping what was working by canceling out the different things Trump had done. Don’t even try to believe that it’s greener for us to get oil from the Middle East, it’s not, it’s efficient and shady.
If you’re talking about the sodas thats because Dollar tree doesn’t set the price for those the vendor does, so the come in and stock the shelves with their product just like coke/pepsi does at other retailers like Target etc. i can’t tell you how many time I accidentally asked a question only to find out they don’t work at target they work for coke and are just stocking their products lol.
Well a few years back the base price of items was changed to $1.25 for all items (thanks inflation) and dollar tree plus items in the frozen section have been around for a while, varying between 3, 4, and 5 bucks, and for the drinks, this was recent addition to the prices, although it doesnt apply to every beverage, only to the newer brands popping up at dollar tree, so far all I've seen is redbull and starbucks charging for higher prices.
The difference is the food would be really unhealthy considering the artificial flavors and preservatives. It would probably take 2 - 3 years off your life if you relied off dollar tree for year(s)
I used to work at Dunkins, and near it theres a Dollar Tree, im not kidding i would survive whatever came from that place bc tbh? They have the best things there P.S. If you ever heard of peace tea, try them theyre so good
Dollar Tree is great if you're not necessarily buying for a whole family. Sometimes you only need a little of something for a while and don't really need to buy in bulk. ALSO, Dollar Tree sometimes gets overstocked items from larger retailers. There are times my daughter goes in and finds makeup that would cost $11 at Walmart for $1.25 at Dollar Tree. It's real brands like Revlon and L.A. Colors. Seriously, don't sleep on Dollar Tree. Go in one. It might really surprise you.
When I went to the US I bought stuff at Dollar Tree, and almost every day I ate either homemade bagels cuz in my country no bagels, and walmart frozen food
when he says " lnch time!! im happy-" when he says im happy...look at the sky and you'll notice something in the sky like either falling or rushing across it..if u did lemme know
@ur_mom2923 they are pro israel in the simplest terms, there's a lot to simplify and its better to look through articles and make your opinion, but society needs a change or movement so boycotting can help and to stop funding Israel
Not going to lie One of the most underrated things you can get at Dollar tree or the spring rolls My wife and I get them all the time and they're great Just take them and put them in the oven for like eight or nine minutes until they're crispy and yeah they are good Not going to lie I shop at the Dollar tree on a pre-regular basis but I have made a trip there before just to get those to add those to dinner before lol Thank you for reading this and I hope everyone is having a great day has a great weekend and a great Lord Sunday if it's coming up Sunday and a great Easter Thank you for reading this and I hope you're having a good day God bless you and your family God bless you Jeremy Scruggs
I was surprised at the changes in the dollar tree. My son works at one and so we often shop there. They had kame asian noodle ready to heat and eat for $1.25 the same lomein noodles at walmart are $3.29. Plus there were tons of name brand items. I even found pouches of taco meat. Already cooked and sauced in those MRE type pouches. They have cheese and salsa and tortillas (both corn and flour) for $5 you got taco dinner. Only thing they dont have is lettuce but eat extra salsa lol
I grocery shop at Dollar Tree back when they were all a dollar. I would buy snacks, drinks, dollar steaks, cereal, Ramen packs. I had to do that for over 2 years cause I was paying off my debt.
