I'm actually a bit surprised Hoyoverse hasn't published an official cook book or something for their dishes in the game. I think it could be a cool collector's item, or an actual cook book for cooking
I laughed so hard when you said that you were gonna make their favourite character's signature dish and they said Raiden Shogun twice xD although she doesn't cook (in fact, it's the only character that can't use the stove) she has a pair of favourite desserts: Tricolor Dango (hinted by Yae Miko) and Dango Milk (a new favourite after her first Character Story Quest). You could make both and join the cult of Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder UuU
I can only imagine how hard it would be for Paul if someone somehow chose Yanfei and QiQi as their favorite character. Yanfei's "my way" is swimming in crab roe, and QiQi's dish... takes an awful lot of time for prep and cooking, to say the least
@@asheeshal7959 QiQi's dish is literally called "No Tomorrow" which, when looking at it, looks like an awful lot of time is needed for prepwork because the knifework is very gorgeous, and there are also bird shaped dumpling looking things there. Also item description explicitly says that "[Still, once one considers that] Qiqi has no sense of taste, just putting chopsticks to the food is going to take some courage."
Yes I was about to say!! It might be harder to get it where he lives tho, but it’s a very cured ham (kinda like Parma ham but wayyyy harder) and adds lots of flavor.
@@tediumlacie yes but actual chinese cuisine from what i saw,in my opinion is very sharp, precise and flavourful, watch chefmar's take on bamboo shot soup on youtube,he uses jinhua ham and leaves the soup boil for 4 hours, this is my opinion,i also respect yours
I love Hu Tao, Xiangling, Sayu, Itto, and Tighnari. Hu Tao’s personality is fun. I love how Xiangling is creative with her dishes + Guoba is adorable. I find Sayu adorable and endearing as well. Arataki Itto is hilarious and it’s the first time I preferred the ENG VA over JPN with him. And I think Tighnari is hilarious as well. “What are they gonna, lock me up? I DARE THEM.”
So THIS is why I got asked my two favorite Genshin characters! I was just thinking you were taking a poll on who to pull for! After watching this…I’m now hungry but like Raiden, I am not a cook! Thank goodness for Stix! Thank you for showing off these epic dishes 😮
For Ayaka's speciality, its called "Xue Mei Niang" in Chinese. Its a glutinous flour skin wrapping up whipped cream and fruits /any condiments to your liking and best served cold Oh yeah there is also another RU-vid channel called Mori's Kitchen to find their supposed recipe (he self interpreted it) and oh man he really replicate the food
Great cooking as always and video work. Props for making those recipes with only few hints from the game on whats actually inside Ayaka's Specialty: Usually the filling (like most other mochi) is going to be Red Bean paste. There is no actual Sakura [inside] the mochi, but usually they just take a salty pickled sakura Leave and wrap it around. mostly for decoration but they do give a slight saltiness and aroma, which you can just skip like in this recipe and just say "hey its pink like sakura petals" and be done. I think instead of putting it into the microwave, putting it into a pan and keep stirring to harden it would have made it easier to mold the mochi. for finishing touches, instead of slapping it into starch just take a cookie cutter and sprinkle some powdered sugar I guess? For zhong Li specialty: I feel like adding a bit of cooking wine and anis would have given it even more of a chinese cuisine aroma. How about making some osmanthus wine? Just add Osmanthus Flowers and sugar with some white liquor of your taste and let it sit inside a bottle for a few months. just kidding, it takes a bit even though its simple. By the time the wine is done, you wouldn't be done for the video and everyone would have left. Osmanthus wine tastes the same as I remember... but where are those who share the memory? Was almost expecting you to draw on the yakiso-bun with, yes you guess it, sriracha sauce xD but eggs sure are nice, they are always nice. even strong men go weak for that Funfact for the day: yakisoba is not made of soba aka. buckwheat. But where are the recipe links? and also, why didn't you for the ginger use a spo--... *slap* thanks for sharing your joy of your divine cooking and the recipes with us mortals (and sorry for the wall of text). in the end, cook to your tastes and joy is all that matters right?
Boy those dishes look SO good. Honestly I have a lot of favorites in Genshin but my top favorites have to be Diluc, Kazuha, Heizou, Rosaria, and Shenhe. Diluc is the one that brought my attention to Genshin when it released. Kazuha is the one that convinced me to get the game when I saw his demo. Heizou is hilarious. Shenhe and Rosaria are just absolutely beautiful and mysterious.
In terms of favorite character, I can't pick because I like the Traveler, the Anemo Boys, and a few others. But i now want to cook some of the Genshin Dishes! Thanks for the inspiration Chef! They look great!
This is so cool! I started watching you because of your old Genshin food videos, so I'm really happy you did Genshin again. ^^ My favourite character is Ei Raiden because she's basically the Genshin version, with a touch of scuff thanks to the wonky writing, of Mei Raiden from Honkai Impact 3rd, which is my favourite video game character ever. Also, her VA is a literal goddess; I love Miyuki Sawashiro so much.
Hi ! I love watching you cook, you seem so confident when cooking, and also you're so considerate towards your viewers ! Also, my fav characters in genshin are Raiden (!!!!!!!), Ayaka, Kazuha, and Nahida !
Hi chef, I discovered your content trough your shokugeki no soma videos and I appreciate the effort in your content and culinary insight even inspiring me to try a bit of thoe techniques. I've been playing genshin for over a year and Amber is still one of my favorite characters to play. It's kinda funny that her signature dish is a half-charred, half-raw steak decorated with her ribbon.
honestly my favorites are mona (with her new outfit) Raiden and childe. childe is really slept on ngl mans has a vision delusion and a monstrous transformation.
My favorite characters are Klee, Nahida/Dendro-Archon, Xinyan, Amber, and Colleii! But, my personal favorite region of dishes is Inazuma, recommended to make some! Maybe you can have some Inazumian food for dinner? :o (MY PERSONAL FAVORITE DISH IS: Invigorating Kitty Meal - Diona’s Dish!! C:
Favorite character is Yanfei. Her dish, crab roe tofu looks amazing. Another RU-vidr, ChefMar I think it was, has recreated most of the genshin foods. Would love to see ChefPK tackle all of them too though.
My favorite character in Genshin is Yae Miko. And the best way to get characters is do the events and explore around! In Sumeru itself (both desert and rainforest) there are a collective of ~150 wishes worth of chests sitting around! It does take a long time though, but very worth it if there's a character coming up that seems interesting to you!
Tips for getting 5* characters you want in F2P style: Plan ahead and collect primogems as much as you can. - This game has pity system that will carry on to future banners in the same banner type. - Pity count for 5* on character banner and standard banner is 90 pulls from the previous 5*. For weapon banner, it's 80 pulls iirc. ** like if you pulls 89 times from the previous 5* on character banner and you got no 5*, the next one will guarantee 5*. - There's soft pity where the chance to get 5* is very high. For character banner and standard banner, it's 76-80 pulls. For weapon banner, it's 66-70 pulls. - When you get 5* from character banner and weapon banner, there's 50% chance to get "on-banner" character or weapon. If you happen to get "off-banner" (like Mona, Keqing, Jean, Diluc or Qiqi on character banner.), the next 5* will be guarantee "on-banner" - The epitomized Path system in weapon banner is system that will help you get 5* weapon on banner that you choose within 3 5* you get bc even tho you get "on-banner" 5*, there's 50% to get the one you want. If the 2 5* you get aren't the one you choose, this system will make guarantee to get the one you want in the next 5*. *** Epitomized Path system doesn't carry on to the future banner. *** - The same things (except Epitomized Path) go to 4*, Only difference is pity counts 4* hard pity is 10 pulls and soft pity is around 8-9 pulls. If you want to collect primogems and Fates until you guarantee getting 1 5* you want while your pull count is 0 from the previous 5*, you need - Character banner: 152-180 pulls --> 24320- 28800 primogems for guarantee 5* on banner character - Weapon banner: 201-240 pulls ---> 32160-38400 primogems for guarantee 5* weapon you want. (Don't recommend new F2P players to touch weapon banner.)
If I have to pick favorites, it would be: Venti, Keqing, Zhongli, Xiao, Thoma, Collei, Tighnari, Candace, Kokomi and Gorou. Much of their signature dishes look and sound real delectable, asides from Tighnari's, which just consists of skewered mushrooms. Why it's like that is because his highly sensitive olfactory systems unfortunately makes him unable to enjoy stronger flavors. Therefore, the Watchman's Choice is more of an appetizer for one to have something to much on while the main dishes are being prepared.
I made the sauerkraut dish from Eula's uncle and it came out well. bacon slices over sauerkraut in the oven (sauerkraut squeezed of course). It was really good. I'm looking forward to Noelle's pancakes soon.
My all time favorite has always been Xiao, but I will say when Cyno had finally dropped the general became my number 2 fave in this game 🤣 But I guess others would be the Geo Daddy himself Zhongli as well the Snezhnaya Man himself Tartaglia~
Oh look, my favorite Food Wars YT channel years ago is now into Genshin! Good job, brother! My favorite right now is definitely Nahida, but my first love is Ningguang. Also Yae Miko, Kuki and Rosaria, I like them all. You should make your own interpretation of Paimon as emergency food. What's your favorite Paimon food?
My fav character is Zhongli and the best way to get characters is to do daily commissions, discovering waypoints and statues of the 7, doing missions and pretty much anything to get to 1600 primogems so you can do a multi and every month you can get up to 5 intertwined fates which are used to summon on good banners and you get points to buy them from summoning, other ways to get characters is to do events there is a few going on where you can get 2 free 4 star units if you do spiral abyss.
Love'd your stuff since food wars. As a genshin vet I will say this: when you arent close to hard pitty pull for 4 stars that you want- ONLY if you like the featured character. At about 50 stop. I mostly run 4 stars (Ive been AR 60 for about 9 months) just because it's more fun a lot of time. One of my favorites is Yanfei- and she does more damage than a lot of my 5 stars. You can make some really sick teams with only 4 stars or even all 4 stars and one 5 star. Aside from that I find more than anything try out characters when you get them. Originally I hated Chongyun, but after playing him some I found his ult feels so nice. Also the game is generally pretty easy- so if you're not at least AR 50 and something seems hard (not events) just come back later. The struggle only happens when you dont have artifacts for your characters. For instance my Yun Jin can hit for 30K with her E. When I first hit AR 45 I couldnt do that with Ganyu. Things just take time. And this advice isn't for you specifically- it's just the advice I give out to anyone about genshin.
Tips how to characters is to game on, find loot and hidden loot. There is also that grind portal place on that island but I'm fan of it. Loot and events reward primo ( and that grind place ) as well as getting the quests done so you probably never gonna need money. You can use all that primo to buy wish stones and don't be like me and save them all up and spent them in bulks of 10 to get better chances to get new characters. My personal favorite character is Xingqiu because books. I also like Itto, can't wait to someday get him. And am patiently waiting for Baizhu to be added into as playable character. - One of the things in Genshin is the food that looks amazing. Devs have seen effort to make those recipes sorts of and food details into the game and make them look good just like the whole game.
That depends on what type of snow you want you could even have a sheets of snow, which is like very thin or a blanket, which is kind of like a weighted blanket if your under it but that’s only two different types of snow that I know of
For the characters I have, I really like Ayaka, Ganyu, and Keqing. For the characters I don't have, Hu Tao and Yoimiya (and I'm not going for her this time, either). Hu Tao probably has the most fun character quest chain in the story. And believe it or not, but the Traveler attuned to Dendro is actually really good, especially if you surround her with a lot of electro characters.
Of all characters I have, I love Yoimiya and Nahida, their gameplay is just so cute except for the fact that they're literally burning everything. But getting characters? Other than using credit card-kun, I guess the best way is to just sacrifice your life into the depths of genshin impact's quests, there's like a hundred of them.
How to get characters the f2p way? A lot of grinding and story progression. For starters you can get 3 characters from the abyss, that is Barbara, Xinglang and Collei. After that it is treasure hunting and achievements.
Original dish of Zhongli is probably cooked with Chinese ham, which is very salty. You won't even need salt for the soup. Also props to the chef who made all the recipes easy to understand and look delicious.
Because it's "Snow on the Hearth"(it's more than likely not this but *shrugs*) try a roasted chestnut as the filling for the mochi? They seem to be filled with something given their shape. So maybe cool/cold Sakura mochi with a warm/hot roasted chestnut inside.
Zhongli, Childe and Rosaria are my favourite characters. I got a new wave of appreciation out of mona tho, because she is so useful in my frezze comp. So I used her much and man, he, he, he...
Diona ritual that works for me: Do diona hangout event and do the cat part Get some drinks at angel’s share Drink them of course.. Sit on the statue and do a 10 pull YAYYYY YOU GOT A CAT
Gandalf at 07:17: "Watch your back human. You have forsaken me for the last time. In my time of need! When my stomach grumbles louder than the wrath of mother Gaia herself! I shalt have my revenge. When you least expect it, human... When you least expect it...."
Kazuha and Chongyun will always be my favorite, Chongyun being the first character I main when I started playing, and Kazuha just being my favorite character all around. Third place goes to Heizou and fourth going to Ayato. I rest my case.
my favorite character is none but the formidable fox yae mko, her signature dish is fukuuchi udon, which is just basic udon and soup with a fox stamped piece of tofu on top(probably paired with a cup of sake). never tried it but it sounds pretty damn tasty.
If you play his hangout, the main ingredients are essentially mist flower and Qingxin? So it’s actually probably a very subtle, floral flavor, and a bit more like an herbal pop than anything else. After all, it’s more intended to calm his constitution than be a tasty snack, so it’s probably meant to have calming properties as well as being cold.
Im always so excited to see more and more of these vids you keep my passion of cooking alive bro. If i had to pick i guess my favorite character in Genshin would be Nahida
omg a chef who plays genshin AND watches grant?? I'm totally subbing lol fr tho super cool video I would love to watch a whole series on genshin foods if u do it
fave characters Zhongli, Dainsleif and a new fave Alhathaim. however i lack funds to really pull for most of the 5* characters i have gotten Zhongli (i sepent my entire games allotment for a month on that rerun banner), a surprise Diluc (on the standard banner) a Keqing and then aa win on a 50/50 an got Nahida, shes such an adorable little bean
