I ATE WHAT??? Amazing Culinary Experience in Mexico! UNICO Riviera Maya Luxury All-Inclusive Resort

We had the most amazing culinary experience at UNICO Riviera Maya! I swear it looks like all we did was eat in the video, but we had a late lunch and then just relaxed until dinner. But both meals were incredible!! Lunch was in their signature 20 87 restaurant and we were just surprised at the attention to detail and the deliciousness of 'lunch' which is usually a quick meal. Yes, I (Alisa) ordered the burger being non-adventurous, but it was freaking awesome!!! Jason tried new things with tuna ceviche and grouper with clams, which were both delicious!
And for dinner, we had a Mexican meal, in Mexico on Mexican Independence Day... it just doesn't get more authentic than that! Oh and speaking of authenitc.... did you know they eat fried grasshoppers in their guacamole???? Yep! That is really a thing in Mexico! So Jason had to try them... They kept bringing us food... things that we didn't even order. But it was a special night and a special meal and we tried it all. Hands down, the food at UNICO is 5 stars!!! Some of the best we have ever had on vacation.

The last time I ate grasshopper tacos was 2 years ago and they were very good with lime. Now the “escamoles” (ant eggs) with butter are just another level of food, I just love them.

Love your vlogs!! I’m getting so excited to travel again! Here in Canada they make it too hard. Good news they are lifting some restrictions this week!! Please pray that we can go somewhere hot this winter. Love your reviews as well! We are planning to travel throughout the states next year and am so happy with your RV vlogs. Can’t wait to join you!

Brilliant vid! Kudos to Jason for trying the Grasshoppers! ... He just 'jumped' straight in! This hotel looks amazing... thanks for sharing your experience..... Idea : If you want to show the menu you should copy the QR code and post it under your video or put in your video ....... Your next video .... Cruising Dec 2020... fingers crossed! You two are so much fun and we need this during this crazy time!

Love the hats! Seriously looking at an all inclusive for my 50th birthday (take two as this year was a shutdown) now! 4RUNNER owners rock! Mine is 2001 with 260k miles on it and still looks perfect and runs great (my baby) -hubs tries every couple years to get me a newer vehicle- why on earth would I give up a perfectly running truck?

Hi, do they serve whisky in the rooms, I mean using room service and what they serve on the beach ?And is smoking allowed on the room's balconies or on the beach? Also are they selling good cigars n the hotel lobby or I need to bring with me ? I am going next week there and try to figure some things.

Like Jason, the best time to try food you might not like is when it's all included. The first time I tried escargot was on a cruise. Dang it, I said the "C" word now I'm sad. We would had been on 3 already this year if it wasn't for the pandemic.

forcedair 92gt I agree! First cruise with kids was last June- their reaction to being able to order whatever to try and get something else if they didn’t like it was great. And then Son discovered pizza all night and the ice cream machine (he’s 14)...still managed to eat dinners even with either pizza or ice cream constantly in hand lol

I'm going to Riviera Maya in December and I looked up the cost of this hotel Único and it's over $500 a night. Either you guys are super rich, or someone's hooking you up big-time.... If you're rich, is it from the travel business? Please share any details.

Brands like Don Julio and with similar prices should be drink slow, I know the movies present tequila like in one shot, but the most expensive brands are to enjoy them slowly

I wouldn’t go round the grass. It sounds like lemon grass. That Grasshopper dip is discussing. I don’t eat meat just fish so Grasshoppers are off my menu anyway.
