I Attempted My First Random Pokemon Nuzlocke 

Just in case it wasn't clear, this was not my first nuzlocke or my first randomizer. I've spent so much time trying to come up with new creative ideas that somewhere along the way I just forgot that I had skipped right over doing a regular random nuzlocke playthrough. On this channel you can find other similar videos, but all have a bigger twist attached like Pokemon randomly evolving every level. It was really cool to turn back the clock a bit and just do something I should have done so many years ago!

This video was a masterpiece, but it also reaffirmed that BDSP's Cynthia is the most unfair battle in all of Pokemon (spoilers below) The fact that you had issues with a Buizel, Bagon, and Carvanha is infuriating 😂

He beat darkrai with sceptile like ash did, that felt nostalgically awesome

The reason I love watching Michael and John is because of their personality and energy just for a video it shows their big effort they always put when filming. I will always support them❤!

Looking back it feels so insane that in the early nuzlocke days this would have been a series of 50 episodes of like 20-30 minutes each...

Wow, that was insane from start to finish. Goes to show Cynthia's team is still monstrous even when half the team is in the base stage. And even those proved some of the greatest threats. But congrats on making it through!

It's extremely fitting to have Skarmory take out Cynthia's last Pokémon, because Skarmory is one of the only Pokémon to resist all of her Garchomp's moves in this game. That Carvanha was legit a better final opponent here.

Man, I remember when John did his Platinum Random Evolution run. It was a great and poetic journey.

Man, the fact that a mere Carvanha posed such a threat to your run is just a testament to how good Cynthia is.

That final battle was a masterpiece. I just now learned how nearly impossible it is to beat Cynthia in this game, and to do it with no heals is insanity.

I love the narrative that Cynthia sent out numerous Legendaries to Gym Leaders take down John's Garchomp, but then she's like "fine, I'll do it myself" and her Kyogre is the one that took down Garchomp

this is literally what cynthia feels like in this game, randomized or not she's literally a dark souls boss. gg's to winning your first randomized locke john!

The ending is an excellent example of why if a move isn't 100% accurate, it's 50% accurate lol.

This was such a fun nuzlocke. It's rare to see them from poketubers who don't dedicate to them, but you have such a positive and fun energy that brought this one to life. I hope Pokemon Challenges reacts to this.

What a rollercoaster of a video this was. That final battle was CINEMATIC.

Such a great job crafting this story out of a randomized nuzlocke! It lead to super dramatic battle against the person who was your true rival the whole time

I understand that Cynthia is the hardest champion to beat and I fully agree with that, and might be even harder randomized, but I feel like if you play enough competitive Pokémon it’s kind of a push over because during my first nuzlocke I only lost one Pokémon to her (and it was the only Pokémon I lost lol).

I really like the Mikey Cameo towards the end. It is a pretty nice and funny touch that he is in the middle of the other video thumbnails being shown off. Also great job on the Patreon videos!

This may seem small but I really like how Tyler put little info cards during battles to explain what PM7 is talking about. It’s small but I think it is really neat.

Actually flaffy is a better starter. Because it evolves at 30 instead of what like 48 or 50 so you get a full evo WAY sooner so its def better for a playthru. You also dont know what else youll get so it makes it easier too

Don't you just love it when you wake up and find out you've done more randomizer nuzlockes than PM7.

That was better narrative than most movies or TV shows that have come out recently. Gabites death, with the flashback to the promise that you would protect him.. the stunned silence as Skarmory holds on for dear life against the Carvahna, only to triumph by sheer force of will. I was hooked the whole time!

I find it funny that John kinda mirrored sinnoh Ash in that Cynthia battle Both up against cheating Darkrai users Both took it down with a Sceptile

10:50 If I had a nickel for every time John encountered a Mewtwo really close to Hearthome City in a Sinnoh Nuzlocke, lost a pokemon trying to catch it, and then didn't catch it I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.

Interestingly, the regular version of this game's Cynthia I ended up accidentally cheesing the hell out of. Once she sends out Milotic, I sent out Dry Skin Toxicroak and only then remembered it's ability. So while it was buffing Toxicroak with it's water attacks or using a non stab non super effective ice beam I healed the rest of my team from the first few mons lmao. Now idk if I'll ever play Sinnoh again without dry skin Toxicroak

Skarmory is my fav Pokémon, so seeing it being the mvp of the champion fight made me so happy!

The intense battle zooming in and having loud sound affects is something you should do more often

That alakazam teleporting away hit way too close to home. On my second playthrough of brilliant diamond, I got a full odd shiny Abra on my second encounter of it, needless to say I never had it
