Today I attempt to replace my worn out valve stem seals myself!
In our last video after pulling the cylinder head off, I noticed some carbon and oil buildup on cylinder 3. This prompted more investigation that led to a conclusion of worn out valve stem seals!

Man, you made that look easy. And, as a bonus, you can have your valve stem seals scrambled, fried, or hard-boiled since you kept them fresh in the egg carton.

Spring compressor tool would make me feel a lot better. If a single one of those keepers isn’t fully seated… BOOM! A Dropped valve is the single most catastrophic event that can occur.

Understandable, but this method is pretty fool proof. Especially if you back up the valves as mentioned, the valve won't fall.

Oh man! I finally found where these sealers sit up...😂 However, my Mazda has hydraulic lifters and I did not keep in order the positions. Now, am a bit scared about putting them back in. Does someone know if I caused much damage by not keeping them in order? 😢

It's hard to say, at the least, I would ensure your valve clearances are within spec according to the factory service manual
