@@Ferrous92 Way too op? Not gonna lie that’s probably the very last thing I expected to hear regarding the shield in Minecraft. Personally In my mind it’s a shield, it’s purpose is to block things no questions asked. So when It doesn’t block things I get upset. On one hand I can kinda see where your coming from as yes the game is quite a bit harder without a shield, but on the other I personally think Mojang already has them pretty well balanced without this delay considering they don’t stack so only 1 per slot, you need 1 iron to make one so they require at least some effort to make early game, they have very low durability, and axe hits disable you from using one for a few seconds. Oh and they don’t do jack against the warden. Also with how crazy skeletons can be and whatnot I feel like the game is balanced with shields in mind. I mean have you played legacy console edition? There’s no shields on that version yet skeletons are just the same and it’s just pain. With how quick they shoot and how far you get knocked back without a shield it’s very difficult to get close enough to take one out with a melee weapon before it takes you out. Yes you can kind of “block” with a sword but you still take the same knock back and not that much less damage realistically. I think it’s supposed to be 50% but i don’t remember it feeling that way in game last time I played.

Ikr, such a scummy company. But you cant blame people for taking better help sponsorships as on the surface they look like a good company, though with a little research you can find out the illegal practices that they perform. Wish creators would do a little more research into sponsors.
