This is genuinely what I do since I don't have the basketball knowledge to get obscure ones😂😂 The only places I manage to get rare ones are matching a team's player to a category like 1500 3 pointers in their career. I think of ones people don't seem to for those
Do a rebuild where the 9 players you start with have to fit the hoopgrid. For Pistons/Cavs you could do Drummond, and then you'd get Drummond on your team. Current players only. It'd be a really hard rebuilding challenge I think
LOL Ryan Hollins is one of the commentators for the Rockets and he's honestly doing a pretty good job at it. Makes it fun to watch my Rockets every game.
Ryan Hollins is a color commentator for the Houston Rockets (which is funny because he never played for them) and also has a NBA podcast to talk about rookie life with guys from all eras. He's cool. As a Rockets fan I don't like him at all on the games, but as a person the guy is cool. S/o to him.
Nah this makes it way more interactive and better for a video. No changing means he just sits there thinking and try Harding. Way more fun wen he attempts and we get to play along w it too
as a complete and utter NBA casually I was extremely proud of my answer of Deron Williams for “18+ points on debut” and “All NBA” getting a 0.2% and also of my “All NBA” and “Orlando Magic” guess being Shawn Kemp at 1.0% from the grid a couple of days back.
When you do this again. Do all of them one time, then go back for lowest rarity. Would love to see the thought process and how crazy obscure you can pull after the initial thoughts
I got stuck trying to figure out Cleveland and Detroit and had to scroll through basketball reference. I literally couldn’t think of anyone, no matter how rare lmao
Whenever I see a 300 avg on immaculate it's best to think about players from the early 1900s where hitting 300 was much more common. I said Nap Lajoie for Cleveland 300 avg and it was like 5%
I was playing the July 8th hoops grid and I put kawhi leonard as a spurs player that was on an all rookie team and he was a 0% diamond player! I was so excited and confused.
Kenny try using Stu Lantz in these grids he’s always a unicorn, galaxy, or diamond he’s a seventies player who played for the rockets and a few other teams
percentages are gonna be kind of weird with this because most people are going to be looking for the most obscure players on basketball reference, inflating their scores.
