I beat Tears of the Kingdom without the Paraglider. 

Imagine being a normal person in hyrule during this. Link and the princess go underneath the castle, suddenly it flies into the air and random crap starts falling to the ground, all while link and zelda are still missing. Then suddenly, two giant goddamn dragons start fighting in the air and then link and the princess are back like nothing ever happened.

The dragons are soft so you don’t take fall damage

Just want to say thanks for making vids which are kid-friendly. It’s hard to find actually entertaining content for my kids which is free of cursing or adult references.

I might be one of the few who knew Demon Dragon would still be easy, because A) I knew the dragons were soft, so you don’t take fall damage B) I actually tested for myself what would happen if I dived all the way to the bottom, and learned the game gives you a cutscene to get back on the Light Dragon.

lmfao the dragon part had me dying, didn't realize there's a whole cutscene if you manage to completely fall off and not get caught normally by Zelda

The bird set with faster skydiving upgraded twice has impact proof bonus, which makes you take no fall damage

i found a fall damage cancel that involves the shield, it works in both games

If you grab onto something during the fall to the fight with the demon kings, army unload it is, but let’s just skip the entire fight and go straight to Gannondorf place to cut scene

Something else you could have done was go in the sanctum, light up those two torches and grab the champions leathers for extra defense, even though it might not matter💀

I’m yet to watch this video but I have completed all four sages without teleport or paraglider and it was very challenging! Feel free to ask me questions.

Very nicely done. However, there is a final almost impossible challenge. Skip other missions, no paraglider, NO STAMINA. That is the most epic win possible. Pure Engineering

Is it possible to not only skip the paraglider, but skip the ENTIRE surface? Don’t even land on the surface and trigger the “Hyrule Kingdom” landmark. Just dive into the Hyrule Castle Chasm.

if you get the full skymobility up set and enhance it to level 2 then you don't take ANY fall damage

ultra hand log, climb on, fall down. ur good. also that final dive, u can survive it if u just fall right on the red battle area. i purposely didnt use my paraglider joking around, and the cutscene triggers before i took fall dmg.

I did this too, but I went STRAIGHT to Ganondorf. No detours, no prep, no glitches, no paraglider. I liked the differences in our Colgera method.

use a steering stick to negate fall damage just fall while being on the steering stick and u will not get fall damage

If you got Zonai devices for flying high you can hit Colgera by flying with machines, jumping off and bullet-time then fusing Keese wings to arrows to get extra distance. For 2nd phase you are in the air already and can bullet-time. In order to survive falling, fall off the edge of the arena which only takes 1 heart.

I climbed all the way down the hole for an hour and a half (I kept falling and dying) in Hyrule Castle without zonaite or anything after playing the game for 5 hours. Then I killed a like like and got a purple shield. Then I fought the lynels for 4 hours without getting hit and breaking all my weapons and using my bomb arrows.

i love the vid. also maybe u can beat it without rockets if you shoot colgera with the dusk bow/ gerudo bow with a keese/ aerocuda/ gibdo/ gleeok wing (but u prob wont get the gleeok wing)

I’m pretty sure you can just faceplant into the boss arena and the cutscene will prevent the fall damage

i just did 100% about two weeks ago and bro just smoked the game (i hope you wrote everything down somewhere for future speedrunners)

I'm actually partway through my own paragliderless run. …or more accurately, a "mess with the NPCs" run - and I decided the best way to mess with Purah was if the first she knew that I'd made it out of the castle was when I rocked up having beaten all the shrines (unfortunately, a couple of them will probably require me learning how to do a glitch), and 4 of the sages (unfortunately the fifth one refuses to unlock if I haven't gotten the paraglider). So far, I've cleared 81 shrines, beaten Queen Gibdo, beaten several Marbled Gohmas (one in the dungeon, two roaming wild in the depths), collected and double upgraded the glide set, and now I'm clearing out the pirates in Lurelin Village. …oh, and I don't like teleporting, so I haven't. (I'm not sure if I'll be able to continue that restriction when trying to get out of the whirlpool just off Hylia Bridge - last I checked, you can't ascend out without going back in the whirlpool)
