I swear the game is programmed to not drop items you are specifically trying to get. I've had the weirdest bad luck in with the Arkhalis, in that I _didn't_ want it (the Enchanted Sword is my favorite pre-hardmode weapon) and the damn thing dropped three times. _In a row._ Regarding that lost fire lash, he probably accidentally threw it and didn't notice. I did the same thing with the vampire knives, but luckily I was able to backtrack and find it.

For my first ever full playthrough of terraria since mobile 1.12 something I chose to be a melee. My goal of the play through was getting the Zenith, just like them. But for some reason I got almost every weapon except any melee weapons at least 5 times. I just tanked the boss so it was really boring grinding it and I ended up cheating to get the items. It amazes me that I didn’t get a single melee drop after killing him 30+ times. I remember how annoyed I was counting all of the lunar portal staffs in my inventory. I still find it hard to believe that all those items have the same drop rate.

The meteor is the only one that has been upped in progression (as it should) 13:26 - The Leaf Wings are sold at night, the moon phase doesn't matter. 16:06 - Play in Expert Mode if you want better drop rates 17:27 - The Jungle Temple* 17:28 - Stone got an anti-cheese buff, but still isn't difficult in any game mode. 19:31 - 70k health isn't that much for a boss fought around the same time as Duke Fishron 22:00 - Beating the Moon Lord in expert mode will make it drop a treasure bag for both players, which would have made getting Meowmere much easier
