Fun Fact: Shin Akuma was originally planned to be a secret boss after Gill in this game, but it got scrapped so Capcom gave the secret boss spot to Q instead

J Wilkinson Don't lose any rounds Don't continue. Get a grade of at least a D or better on every stage. Get 2 or more Special Points. Get more than 5 Super Art Finishes (3 rounds per battle)

I guess Justin has a new hobby...being a Pro Fighting Game Speedrunner. Does this mean something like Super Turbo, Marvel Super Heroes, or Street Fighter vs X-Men is next? Possibly one of the Vampire Saviour games or even something as obscure as Clayfighter down the pipeline? LOL Congrats man. Keep beating these WRs and soon you'll become TheMexicanRunner of the FGC.

For the Gill fight, if you get him into a knockdown state, wait for the first frame after his recovery, then do shoryu, and rinse repeat. The reason why this works is because upon the computer's first recovery frame, it's first instinct is to either A) move forward, or B) do a special move, but since shoryu has the high priority that it does, it will almost always beat it out. This also applies to other opponents. I don't know if it's necessarily faster for the first few fights, but for Gill it definitely helps. Edit: This was done on the PS3 version of SF3:OE, so again, it may or may not work on the 30th Anniversary edition.

@@joejones I gotta be honest with you, I myself have broken lots of those records myself and I even hold one since years ago, it's more like people are just not into fgc and the strategies are very subpar, not just that, but you need the cpu to just be dumb at times, making the whole run just rng, most of the time skill or strategy arent even at hand when it comes to speedrunning fighting games

To be fair, you can't really speedrun fighting games properly, it's just to rng based. You will never have the same fight twice as it'll always be different due to the rng the ai does.

Congrats, I think I could beat this with Hugo or Q faster, but I think the TAS strat is to use Ken. Ryu is a good choice though, because certain characters turtle more, like Remy, so Denjin helps stop that.

Not sure if you'll see my comment but I have the 30th Anv but when I play, I don't get all the options for the games. Mine only includes Turbo 2, SF2, and 3rd strike. I dont get all those other versions. Not sure why.

@@TraumaER It's pretty trivial and stupid, there's a video on youtube showing a player getting MSF rank on a match as Dudley but it was against another player helping him, It's probably possible to get one against the CPU but very unlikely.

Rayzenbran saying Max was in the scene is fine, but Justin was in top 8 at Evo. The Daigo parry was in losers finals if I remember correctly. They are not on the same planet. Max is not now nor has he ever been as good as Justin Wong at any fighting game, ever.

Chun is low damage without meter. Same with Yun. If you're going for speed, you don't have time to waste building up meter or activating. PvP strats don't always transfer over to PvE.

You're veru great!! but ken and ryu in sfiv and v are the worst characters of street fighter, they're the most boring one, I never choose these 2 and in multiplayer I refuse the 2th game with them, in sf3 it is ok chose these 2 anyway, but It will be more interesting urien, gill, ibuki, necro, sean, ...this family and alex are the very protagonists of sfiii

That's any jump-in combo; you can do just about the same on any SF game with Ryu. Your opponent probably isn't just going to let you repeatedly jump in with a fierce, though.
