It makes more sense to use beds instead of TNT when early-game. Also, enchanting on enchantment table is maybe better then using villagers.

Just a thought - you could set loose some farmers in your carrot farm and they will tend to it, replant it, etc!

Not a wise move to hurt villagers. As long as they remember your low popularity, naturally spawned iron golems would be hostile until the villagers forgive you. You can earn forgiveness quicker by trading, but that would still be slow. Also you found one of the rarest mobs in Minecraft and you didn't even bother to lure them closer to you to keep them from despawning?

There is a way how to get the real best armor - god armor with every protection enchantment in the game. It includes downgrading your version but its fine when you are early - game.

Zetro, natural mobs like villagers and sheep/cows/chickens.etc cant despawn, only mobs like endermen, zombies, skeletons and other mobs that spawn at night.

bro u literally just could've used a boat to transport all the villagers instead of using a tunnel system. Also, the I know a really good way to mine for netherite. You just do f3 + g and go to the edge of the chunk border and strip mine. Its actually op.
