Me too I was also born in 1985 and I’m also 37 as well. I’ve been watching this movie big green since the movie came out in 1995 and far away home and hook and also forget the movie Matilda. Those are the best movies around 1995 and I wish I can go back in time. My name is Anthony Morones from Kyle Texas stay beautiful.☮️☮️☮️
I get tears in my eyes when the kids start singing , ahhh The Big Green was one of my favorites I feel sorry for kids now a days theres no room to be a child anymore kids now a days are so grown its really sad , glad I was born in 1990 😁

I'm 24 and just watched the Big Green with my girlfriend last night. So Nostalgic now. Such a weird feeling how movies and songs came conjure all these emotions and memories. I hadn't seen the movie and probably 10 years but I quote the entire thing
Positive, inspiring and sincere in its entirety. This should be played more often in crowded places people need to hear this. I walk into places and I can feel the negative sentiment from people who choose to give up in life while alive. This Corny song is uplifting.
36 going on 37. Loved every second of this movie. Still do to this very day. This song always hyped me up as a kid and now as an adult, it makes me tear up. Shout out to all the kids who got to grow up with this movie and all the other "rag tag group of kids forms sports team and overcomes odds" types of movies.
What memories! Introduced my children to The Big Green last week. Had the biggest crush on Miss Montgomery back then 😂 growing up really does happen in a heartbeat (a quote from another amazing show), only feels like yesterday I was watching this on VCR and constantly rewinding Larry’s final penalty save and now my own children are getting the same enjoyment from the movie ❤️
My mom and I just watched The Big Green for the first time in years yesterday. It brought back a lot of memories of when I would watch it as a kid. And I tried finding this song for so long, and I was so thrilled when I did because it's a beautiful song.
LYRICS: Believe in miracles and they will set you free Even the monkey sometimes falls from the tree If I believe in you and you believe in me Well there is nothing we can't do Oh yeah Oh yeah Jump in the ocean of your dreams and drink your fill You can move mountains with the sheer force of your will Your rainbow's waiting for you just beyond the hill Cuz you were born to be great I know I know I know I said, I believe, I believe in you Even after all, all that we've been through You know that I believe, I believe in you And I will never stop, oh no Cuz I believe in you I surely do, yeah I think I'll say it again Well, don't sweat the small stuff, child, just do the best you can There comes a time when we must all take a stand Follow your heart and you will soon understand That you can do anything Oh yeah Oh yeah You find that no-one else can know the way you feel We've all been down before, that's life on the wheel But where the hearts strongest, I (am then so?) made of steel You're gonna make it through I know I know I know I said, I believe, I believe in you Even after all, all that we've been through You know that I believe, I believe in you And I will never stop, oh no Cuz I believe in you, yeah Surely do now Sing it for me baby (interlude) I said, I believe, I believe in you Even after all, all that we've been through You know that I believe, I believe in you And I will never stop, no no Somebody help (me? it?) That's as far as I got.
I watched this every night before I had a soccer game the next morning. Now I watch it with my kids. This song brings back that youthful feeling that few do. My kids love it too. Thanks for sharing this nostalgic gem, I can’t find it anywhere else. 💚⚽️
I totally get you bro I just finished watching big green and it makes me so sad on how old I'm get I'm only 20 but it feels like so many years have passed but at least we have the memories
Just watched “The Big Green” on Disney + and it brought me here. What a beautiful song and the film brought me back to my childhood. As a Latino actor today - the character ‘Juan’ in “The Big Green” really inspired me and so did ‘Mike Vitar’ aka Benny in “The Sandlot”
So blessed to have had the advantage to watch this movie and 90s movie in general!!!!! True happiness! And everyone in the 90s can agree this was the best era! We all can reminisce and feel the same happiness and light these movies gave us. Thank you God for that lifetime !!!!!!!👏🏾🙌🏾👌🏾😍
all these movies are my child hood and the songs with them. i find my self from time to time singing them then next thing im on youtube dancing around my apt. lol my fave is goofy movie i2i and stand out. but kids today and many generations from now will never know these movies or songs. now it trewking drugs and money. when I was 7 8 9 10 I was in front of the tv with my grandma (R.I.P). watching these movies. props to anyone who still find these songs amazing 25 30 40 50 years later. ( I was born in '88 Leap year baby.)
I'm 27 now. Loved this movie. Plus it's such an inspirational song. Got me through 2 deployments and it will get me through the rest of life. Just believe
Bless you. Keep believing this movie came out when I was about 7 years old. I still remember to this day the message is the same as it was back then I've never met you but I love you
I miss the 90s so much... take me back to the 90s 😢 The Big Green holds a deep part in my heart cause my parents got me a soccer ball and I would go outside and play soccer all because of The Big Green ❤
I join a soccer team at age 6 because of them and now it’s been my favorite sport ever since and because of this movie I had the will to a good player . I am now 30
Hi fellow 90s kid that needed to go down memory road. All these comments are taking young adults down memory lane. I think that's wonderful. The Big Green bring brought me here. The lyrics mean sooooo much more now.
Born in '86. But yea, I have to say, the entertainment media was the best during the 90's. Brings back not just so many childhood memories, but childhood emotions as well. I'm not sure if the current generation of young kids have this opportunity to experience the same that we did.
Crazy how you still know them too! This song was in the beginning of the movie and even after like 20 years of not seeing it i was able to sing along. amazing track!
Song made me start crying I use to watch the big green every day about 100 times before I started playing soccer and this song and the big green movie was what got me to play the sport.... started when I was 6 now I'm a junior in highschool gonna fuckin miss the sport I love and the chemistry and the love of the team I played with through out my 10 years of playing and growing up with the exact same team now we are most likely on our way to state.... enjoy every moment u have guys great memories are made that way!!!
Its crazy seeing people that are under 25 say how nostalgic this movie but im 30 and it was released when I was young so it doesn't take me back to a simpler time in life when cereal and sat morning cartoons were so amazing. No Netflix you had to wait a week to see what happens. Good times those 90s
I'm 24 & the big green was literally apart of my childhood. It wasn't just a movie I enjoyed. I used to watch it on repeat (other 90s movies as well) it was the movie that inspired me to play soccer. I may have been young in the 90s, but my memory of the late 90s is fresh. Blank Check came out in 94. I was only 1 years old, but I clearly remember watching it with my siblings on Disney channel in 1998/1999 all the time.
90's babies... We're getting old! All these comments with our ages being 20+ dating back to two years ago! We're getting old, y'all! But our generation's childhood was still the best! The 90's live on! ;)
Yes it was I have so many memories of the '90s I'm already tearing up right now old childhood friends and the best music and the best TV shows and cartoons memories will always be remembered
Also, I’m pretty sure I was able to track down a list of soundtrack songs previously and either this song or Sunny Side Up was missing which is crazy. Movie soundtracks can be weird like that. I wish I could get both songs on iTunes 😭
I listen to this song whenever I need to remember I can overcome any obstacle in my life. I’m glad to have experienced this song as a kid growing up in the 90s. 1988 representative
Born in 99, grew up watching THE BIG GREEN as a young kid, I cry every time the whole soccer team starts singing the chorus. Movies and soundtracks like this helped me to be the man I am today and my gratitude for the memories, lessons and unending personal growth I’ve been gifted by these sort of songs will never be understated.
I feel you man😢 soundtracks and movies remind us of good childhood memories we had, I also get emotional over this song😢 great movie awesome soundtrack 😊
This is awkward, so my brother’s former wife, a.k.a. my former sister-in-law said that she did not want to watch this movie because it has a 0% critic rating on rotten tomatoes And no matter how much me and my brother tried to convince her it’s a good movie she refused to watch it. They are not married anymore.
