I always think of the people that bid on storage units as vultures picking over the bones of the dying and dead. Pockets of people’s lives reduced to dumpster fodder or a cash grab. It’s terrifying in itself.

I wish that the survivors of dead people could be given enough time to collect their families stuff. It's cruel that family heirlooms are auctioned off to strangers that just trash them.

One of my favorite stories involves the guy being haunted by the girl and almost killed, so he goes screw it and brings the stuff to the family.

the main character being a bad person and that leading to their downfall seems to be a common trend in these stories lol

As satisfying as it is to hear a scumbag protagonist get the karma they deserve this tendency for every creepypasta “writer” to create stories through the eyes of the most unlikeable and truly despicable people, which most of the times means they are a “skeptic”, is not only incredibly amateur but it just further proves that the people who write Creepypastas these days are in this genre for all the wrong reasons.

@@FlatEarthOracle yeah i agree with that, the stories aren't and don't feel like creepypastas anymore now it's just short horror stories, another thing that the writers tend to do (though not in this story) is to give everyone a full first and last name for literally no reason and it just feels out of place

@@hiidenkiuasoh don’t get me going on that. The entire “I changed the names of the people involved to protect their identity “ gimmick while simultaneously giving out incredibly intimate details about the location and event itself makes me roll my eyes every single time. Yes I understand these are fake stories(although I know for a fact that some are actually referring to real events) but it’s like the writers think this is the 1700’s and just because they change the names of the people involved that would prevent people from figuring out with insanely accurate details where and to who the story happened to is just cringeworthy now. Hell with AI search tools people can figure out exactly what is being referenced in under a minute with very few keywords. Anyways I could go on for days and days about how awful most of these stories are and how no one knows how to properly world build or use a logic tree or editing tools or having someone proofread their work when creating a story but I’d just get labeled a “hater” like always (as if I’m some moron for not wanting to waste my time listening to poorly constructed stories). At least most of these narrators seem to understand that my complaints have absolutely nothing to do with their narration……

@@FlatEarthOracle Most people in this series tend to be good people over all and a handful just being really down on their luck like homeless people. But this is part of season two of The United People's Institute of Science stories, which are also linked to Professor Egghead and other stories.

Thank you for giving credit where it's due. I hope their voice is as soothing as yours. I find that is an important deciding factor in whether or not I subscribe.

You are so freaking believable when you tell a story. Ya gotta love it! I love the way your story telling triggers the empath in me.

geez, so was I, but I'm glad he didn't. I like the way the author doesn't make it pure gore porn. I hate gore porn. For a good story, you gotta have just the right amount. Today's society seems to thrive on the gorier the better.

FAFO-Storage Wars edition. Play stupid games, win even stupider prizes. I won’t get into the semantics of how the 300$ budget for bidding on storage units is truly idiotic for a former “professional gambler”. No matter what he was GAMBLING ON the fact that the writer stated that it was done professionally means he would’ve been betting at minimum thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars a day/session. If you add a zero onto the 300$ budget the story makes a tad bit more sense but again this is what happens when people write about situations they don’t understand and haven’t researched. Also from just a pure logic standpoint the 300$ budget makes zero sense because this wasn’t the first unit he bid on and won meaning he’d have more than 300$ in accrued earnings to bid on future units but then we wouldn’t have to be subjected to the stupid “wife being mad at him” subplot that went literally nowhere..

Yay, MJL!!! So the old dude was making real life pokemon? I liked the ending, the protagonist didn't learn anything and will continue to gamble lol it's realistic!

Yes, if you listen to more of the stories you'll see more of the professor and his creations. Mike's stories tend to be connected in a few ways.
