Just a few quick tips (we're all trying to help eachother here) actually track your strike rate rather than just guesimating it. then put that strike rate (ratio of wins:losses not including BEs) into a risk of ruin calculator and that will tell you how much % you should be risking per trade in order to not blow a funded account. I've done the math so I'll put it here very concisely: Strike rate

That's okay man there's so much transparency in this videos. Guess we should never be calling selves perfect. Sometimes you will feel like you are perfect then you should realize it's this time you have drawdown yourself from from consistent improvement towards nearly perfection. Mate, something really unfortunate happened to me this week, I passed my FTMO Phase 2 challenge, but I had the minimum trading days to fill so I was taking small lot trade just to fill those days in, on the last day of the trading day I made a huge blunder, I trade both my personal account and FTMO account on MT4, so depending on which account I'm trading I'd log into that account and go to the next account if I want to place the same trade, what happened was so awful that I'm still mourning from it, I was trying to place a trade on my personal account but little did I realize that I was on my FTMO ACCOUNT, the the lot sizes are much different that a 1.00 lot on my personal account would be a 0.4 lot on my FTMO, so I placed 2 1.00 lots on my FTMO account thinking it was on my personal account, I was instantly in huge drawdown, I noticed it and closed the trade but now I had lost 1% of an account that I had already passed! My emotions took over and I started to overtrade, as we speak I'm at ZERO % Profits meaning I have to pass phase 2 ALL OVER AGAIN! 😭😭😭😭 It's a just an awful feeling, I wouldn't wish it on anyone

Hi Ablie, good on you for posting this, transparent as always. I found consistency after being inspired by you to use a checklist for entries and trade management. I thought "Albie is successful because he's got a strict plan and he trades his plan like a machine". I have tried to do the same. If I start losing trades I remind myself that the trader is not the one making the money and winning trades. The trader is not some sort of genius. The trading plan is the thing making the money, the trader is just there to make sure the plan is running like a machine. We are just here shoveling coal into the furnace etc. I also took your advice and stopped worrying about outside influences. Lots of people think high R makes you a good trader but I personally found that too tough on my psychology so lowered my risk to reward expectations. People might laugh at some of my 2R trades or taking partials at 1R but who cares? If I consistently make 3% a week with low R trades then I am very profitable and that's all that matters. I think you are spot on. Don't worry about becoming the trader you think other people are expecting you to be, they joined your community because of who you already were, right? Focus on what got you to where you are. Like you always say, "you do you". That might be a good tattoo - UDOU ;0)

This is actually such a good video alb and I can't put into words how impactful this can actually be to other traders out there, we all have slip ups, it's human nature including those traders that are seasoned that pretend they don't. I am in a situation where I have studied SMC and created a trading plan for 1.5 years now and I am in a 20% DD in my personal (I am not funded). I am depressed and started to loose faith and hope in trading as a means to provide a living. I am also following my plan, I am avoiding all the SMC strategy misstakes and being pretty picky, but still in my last 20 trades I have almost 18 loosers and 2 winners. When I show the trades to my mentors, they are like well mate those are solid trades and the logic is perfect regarding structure, entry etc, - but still there I am taking loss after loss. This is a very very tough game. To be honest, in your last podcast hearing Sam talking about how he "flipping" his personals or making insane returns makes you think these guys have the key to the market and they will never loose an account or EVER be in a drawdown. How can you be in a DD when you have a 30/40% win rate and you are taking 1:20, 1:50, 1:100 trades? I still do not understand that! However, thank you for your transparency and restoring faith in us as struggling traders!

I suggest reading "The Chimp Paradox". Albie's situation is a great example of how the other part of his mind just hijacked him and made all these mistakes. That book really is a game changer. I recommend it to everyone, to be aware of what is sabotaging us at times when we dont even notice it.

20:50 "Changing pair because of that subconscious bias people you look up to can give you". .. this was my biggest take away bro, I have a system that i have backtested for years and traded with good success, but sometimes get into draw down cos my mentor has another opposing bias and it made me to close my good trades and jump into bad trades, I had to literally unfollow him and focus on my backtested edge, Thanks for this video it made so much sense!!!

mean I had 600k funded account on MFF, I blew that too after I entered a BTC trade, decent stop but I forgot the market closes on Fridays with prop prism. decent stop but come Monday the market opened way beyond my stop and I lost 5% in that day. but got the accoutnts back 2 weeks after.
