Hey mate, have u tried the new Indies Expansion Pack mod? It has reduced fleet size mechanics and the djoeng ship is a weird one that can crap out popup frigates at enemies, it's pretty fun and goofy, i thought that would be right up your alley.
Picked the fight with them and I got to kill 3 invasion fleets , 2 kill fleets and there's a cruisers and capitals with fully decked out SMods Iron Shell fleet going around looking for me. Shouldn't have steal their pristine nanoforge, worst decision ever.
@@vulcanz1327 what are you talking about I am calm you must be hasn't watched his last star sector video where he said he would be having videos every week I'm just bringing up his previous comment from a video from 3 months ago that he pinned lol
You really are the best dude. This game is pure magic and I wish more people would get in on it. The amount of different runs you can do is insane and your whole channel is a love letter to that fact.
@14:46 "Jan 10th, 217th cycle." The game starts at jan 206th cycle. His forces have been in the sector for almost 11 years and totally upended the starting balance of the factions. Maybe I should give more to the pirates. I usually squash them within the first 3 years.
them scrapping the heavy works is a nexerlin feature to prevent you from farming easy BPs. any invaded or given colony must have a starbase, patrol HQ, and ground batteries at minimum or they will instantly scrap any heavy industry on the planet.
Did no one ever tell that man about the Kapteyn Starworks? 😅 Whenever I'm commissioned by the Hege, I have to bombard them like three times a week, they're not easy to miss! (Also, great way to make good cash with a little smash'n'grab when you have a couple hundred marines in midgame.) Give them the nanoforge, a capital blueprint, and watch hell break loose!
Buy from place A which has an excess for cheap and sell to B for a profit. Then buy from Place B for cheap and resell for more to A which now has a shortage. Big Brain move right there.
Luddic path Brawler, wolfpack tactics, chain guns( assault chan guns work too ) saftey overrides. Fast and insanely lethal. you will shred sheilds AND armor like its 1 ply toiletpaper after a night of taco bell, chipotle , and whitecastle
I’ll drop a mod list some time for starsector… some of them were pretty cool… and the bounty hunts on some of them had me hunting so very beautiful unique versions of ships… adjustable sector was pretty cool… though adjusting the sector enough to set a good balance between blade breakers and remnants was a bit annoying…
I just want to share that i just found out about your channel because Reggie created a character named after you and decided that you eating was a luxury more than a nescessity.
Resolve all war, without killing any faction, everyone at least friendly with everyone, a little more complex on the do, but free to exploit every mecanics of the game
Some would call this sort of thing an act of mass murder, indescribable evil, appalling callousness on a galactic scale. Any reasonable person, though, would see through the simplistic moralisation of such judgmental perspectives, and perceive it as what it is; simply a pragmatically necessary, tough-but-kind, hard reset.
Starsector wage slave run - You are only allowed to get money though contracted jobs, bounties and joining a faction. Also you are not allowed to salvage ships because otherwise this would just be a scavenger run with easier rules. You can have colonies but only by renting them from a faction.
That long description of everyone being a c*** about your colonies is something every player understands😂 Made the mistake of starting a colony too early on my current run. Didn’t have the fleet to stop the path from saturation bombarding the planet. Caused pollution, reduced colony size, destabilized it to the point it would surely deciv before it could recover and turned the whole thing into a money sinkhole until the inevitable... Ended up abandoning the colony to at least not go bankrupt and regretted pollution driving up the hazard rating of a beautiful 75 % hazard terran world...
